Did you find anything you liked? I always try to mix different interior styles, from traditional, to transitional, to coastal so you can find your favorite interiors and feel inspired by them.
I can’t believe summer is basically done and Labour Day is already here! There’s so much I would like to talk about and I would love to say this summer was fun and wonderful, like I usually do, but I am not here to throw confetti in the air and give you an impression that my life is always colorful as a rainbow. If you read my blog, you know I am a positive person, but I am also real and very honest.
This summer was a painful one since the very first day. I lost my grandmother (as you already know, she raised me, therefore, she was my mother) and every day is being an experience. People say that life has to continue and we need to look forward and I agree with that, but life gets a little less “colorful” when you loose someone you love deeply. I am focusing on my faith (I know that God had better plans for my grandmother and I feel that she’s happy where she is.), and I am also focusing on my children. Their love and giggles are my “therapy”. 🙂
This summer wasn’t good for me but I can say that I have learned even more about how important it is to appreciate each day and especially, the people we love. I also have learned that we must live this life in a more peaceful way. We really have to stop over thinking about every little thing and we must stop putting our energy on things that can’t be changed. We can’t bring all the heavy loads from the past and we must not live a life waiting for something to happen to finally be happy. That is an illusion. Life is happening right now and this is the only moment you are guaranteed to have, so why not smile more, tell people how you truly feel and forgive what has to be forgiven? What are we really waiting for to happen to start living a good life? We have to take this question seriously.
My summer was a painful one and nothing can change that, but I surely can change how I am approaching this day. I am trying to focus in love instead of loss and even though this is not as easy as it might sound, I feel this is the only way I will be able to build my life the way I believe is the best life I can have.
Start this new month and soon, new season, searching each day for a better way to live the day you’ve been given.
I am starting this day with a certain relieve this summer is almost over. Perhaps I am ready to close this “chapter” and starting to write new “pages”. Right now, I see many opportunities ready to be unfolded and I am curious and I am open.
Blessings always arrive when we trust they will.
with Love,
