I’m not sure if you’re noticing with my posts but I’m really missing summer lately. It was supposed to be warmer this weekend, but it was not. We had our fireplace on the whole time, which made everything feel much cozier and nicer, but I’m still missing the sunshine, the beach, the water.
Seeing this beach house bring good memories of hot summer days, when we all go to the beach and enjoy a couple of hours hearing the waves.
Well, I guess we’ll have to wait a little longer for that, but at least we can enjoy this beautiful beach house and dream with summer. Shall we?

Beach House
And this is my dream porch… π
Shingle Style
Wouldn’t you love to call it “home” and have the beach only a few steps away?
Star Light Star Bright
Stunning architecture.
Coastal
Beautiful outdoor light fixture.
Living & Dining
Bright and sunny.
My Kind of Living Room
I love when the furniture is placed closer together in a living room. It makes any conversation feel more intimate.
Decor
Delicate.
Dining Room
The dining room feels very informal. The rug is from Pottery Barn.
Kitchen
Perfect for a beach house! I love the splash of color added by the butcher block.
Sources: The potrack is from Howard Kaplan. Countertops: Carrara marble. The cabinets are custom- a cabinet shop in Green Bay,WI called Cabinet Masters. The paint color is also custom, but Sherwin Williams SW 7028, “Incredible White” is close. Backsplash: The tile is by Anne Sacks-a 3×5 crackle glaze subway tile. The pendants are Restoration Hardware.
Ceiling
The ceiling material used is traditional tongue and groove beadboard (not plywood). It is paint grade hardwood and two inches wide. According to the designer, this was a very high-end project, with quite detailed craftsmanship, and the individual tongue and groove boards give a more traditional look.
Family Room
The family room feels cozy and so close to the water. I love the windows. They’re beautiful!
Foyer
Formal yet welcoming. Wall color is Sherwin Williams-“misty”.
Light Fixture
the light fixture is from Home Depot.
Up
The floors are hand-scraped oak, with a slightly beveled edge. The stain is a water popped chocolate brown.
Mezzanine
This space is all about timeless architecture.
Details
Incredible!
Curves & Turns
I love seeing people getting creative, but I can’t own something like this in my house. I’d look at this every time I passed by and I’d probably forget about the stairs… π
Guest Bedroom
Lovely. I adore the plates on the wall.
Favorite Flowers
My favorites…

I love everything about this bathroom, especially the tiles– an octagon-dot, in satin finish, with dove gray grout. They’re by Daltile.
Bathroom
Bath is by Kohler, Wall Color: Sherwin Williams-Ancient Marble.
Shower Tiles
You can mix carrara marble with subway tiles to balance the expenses in a space.

The desk is an antique piece purchased by the designer and the framed arts are nautical charts.

GORGEOUS! You find the best beach houses!! This is such a dream, a perfect blend of beauty, tradition, warmth and comfort…love it.I would love to sit on that swing with my three sons and talk and talk and talk until the wee hours of the morning:)
Such a beautiful house! The only thing I don’t like about it is the street side. That is a lot of asphalt! And it is not pretty.
Very calming and lovely, all over this house is in a relaxing harmony… I love it
Wowzers!
Talk about not judging a book by it’s cover! Exterior is quite blah–something off with the roof for me. But inside, one of the nicest houses I have seen. Thanks for the inside glimpse. Loved it. Even with a “must have” desire for kitchen sink at a window, I could handle that isand sink looking out across the room to that view. Absolutely beautiful.
hugs from the other coast,

Gorgeous in every way! The kitchen is lovely and the bedrooms look warm and welcoming. A bit of traditional feel mixed with a beach vibe.
The build in cabinet in the bedroom is so rich looking and the marble in shower only the best and I really like the nautical charts above the twin beds.
