How do you define your style? Believe it or not, but our taste for interior design tends to evolve and slightly change along the years. That’s why I believe it’s very important for us to keep our mind open to new design trends and ideas because they always have something to teach, inspire and allow our personal taste for interior design to keep growing.
The very talented interior designer Tracy Lynn of Tracy Lynn Studio (I love her work and I am sure you will, too!) designed this newly-built California home for a young family of four with interiors that feature plenty of feminine, Boho chic touches with some dashes of Hollywood Glam.
Located in the secluded golf community of Santaluz in San Diego, California, this ground-up build is a first home for the young family (and multiple dogs) which previously rented. The style has a distinctly youthful vibe, mixing boho chic with touches of Hollywood glamor. In order to keep a certain budget on track, there is a playful mix of high-end furnishings with contemporary accessible brands like Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and World Market. Some design highlights include the unique fluid marble vanity found in the primary bath, custom made gaming/coffee table found in the lounge, a specially commissioned macramé piece made by artist Sally England and wheat stalk art installed in the casual dining room.

The boho glam style continues in the kitchen with exposed beams, brass finishes and blush- hued accessories. From this angle you can see the Family Room with a Bar on the far right.

There is a distinctly feminine touch throughout the home and the main powder room is no exception. Once you enter the space, your eyes are immediately drawn to the reflective backsplash. Upon first glance it may seem like a wall made of glitter, but in reality it is a rose gold hued 3-D aluminum tile that reflects the light. The backsplash is paired with floral wall paper, brass accessories and fixtures and a custom vanity.
