Once the renovation was complete, the space transformed into an open and airy home without sacrificing the original mid-century architecture style. It was important to us to preserve the character of the home while making it livable for the new owner.
Island features one slab of marble: 5’-6” x 8’-0”.
Counterstools: Gabby Furniture.
New cabinetry and state of the art appliances instantly created a the ultimate work space for any chef.
Hardware: Brandino Brass – similar Knobs & Pulls.
On the “entertaining” side of the kitchen, Carrara marble countertops and a decorative backsplash featured under the Venetian plaster hood steal the show.
The wall paint color is Benjamin Moore OC-25 Cloud Cover.
Kitchen Wall Sconces: Visual Comfort Camille Sconce.
A butler’s pantry behind the main kitchen area was created for additional storage, appliances, and a bar. All finishes were updated including the linoleum floors which were removed and replaced with hardwoods that now extends throughout the home.

This entire space felt closed-in and dark.
The wood-paneled ceilings are original to the house but were stripped and washed with a custom mix of white paint and a semi-transparent stain to also help brighten up the interiors.
To bring natural light into the center of the home, clerestory windows were added down the spine of the roof.
