Fixer Upper Kitchen Reno Tips: The original cabinet doors were taken off and replaced with new shaker style cabinet faces. The original frame of the cabinets remained, but was sanded down, sealed and painted to remove any signs of grain.
The original kitchen had only one side with a glass cabinet, so the designer had them balanced by adding another glass panel to the opposite side upper cab. The original tile flooring was ripped out to be replaced with wood. Seating around the island was developed so they didn’t have to have an island and a kitchen table. The original island was tiny.
