Are you ready to let Christmas into your heart? Because it certainly will find its place – if it hasn’t yet – after you see this stunning Christmas Decorating Ideas house tour.
I am honestly so happy to have Casey Rutherford of @case.rutherford on our “Beautiful Homes of Instagram: Christmas Edition”. The season couldn’t kick off any better and more cheerful. Casey worked on very short notice to provide all of the details you see here, so please make sure to follow her on Instagram. Here, she shares more details about her newly-built house, that is now fully decorated and ready for Christmas:
“After a year like this one, I was ready earlier than usual to deck the halls with Christmas cheer, and I was so thankful that Luciane wanted to feature our home on the HomeBunch blog – Christmas edition!
This is our second Christmas in this house, but last year we were in the newborn fog with three kids under four years and things from that time are just…fuzzy. This year, we’re feeling a bit more grounded, yet given the state of the world and all the disruption to our “normal,” all I wanted was to create some magic within the four walls of our home this holiday season. I wanted things to feel bright and airy, yet cozy and warm all at once, and I think we really achieved that using a mix of neutrals: whites, browns, greens, and golds. I don’t think I’ve ever loved our home more during the holidays, and I’m so excited to share it with you, too!” – Casey Rutherford of @case.rutherford.

“I love the softness that a flocked wreath or tree lends to a space, and before even stepping inside our home, the front porch sets the tone for what’s to come inside.” – Casey Rutherford of @case.rutherford.

“My house may be mostly neutral, but I’ve got some deep southern design roots that really came out in our dining room.”- Casey Rutherford of @case.rutherford.
“Nothing screams southern like a patterned wallpaper paired with a vintage rug. I love the modern lines of the wallpaper, and I am so thankful that in 2020, we can find vintage look-alike rugs that don’t break the bank like this one.”- Casey Rutherford of @case.rutherford.

“I love the understated simplicity of an all white kitchen. With such an open concept floor plan, I wanted our kitchen to make a statement while not overpowering the other rooms open to it. “It shouldn’t come as a surprise that I decided to keep things white and bright in my office. The built-ins offer amazing storage (my favorite little surprises are the pocket drawers I designed to sit right under the shelves), but they are also a gorgeous decorative element. I brought in some color through a custom piece of art from Emily Pope Harris and an amazing pair of leather chairs from Article.”
