In life, sometimes you must go big or go home, but there are times that it is better to go big at home and renovate all of the spaces you use the most at once and that often goes for the kitchen, dining room, laundry room and mudroom; the most utilitarian spaces of any household.
Designed by Alessia Loffredo of reDesign Home, this extensive kitchen, dining room, laundry room and mudroom renovation was inspired by the designer’s trip to the South of France. Please keep reading to know more details shared by Alessia:
“Through the course of our work, we’ve found inspiration often comes in many unexpected forms, and the inspiration for this particular project originally came from a travel photo. During a trip to the south of France, we came across a winery featuring the most incredible interplay of colors, textures, and lighting and knew it was the perfect launching point for this kitchen.”
“Our clients had several requests for their new space, including a cathedral ceiling, new cabinetry and appliances, a large kitchen island, additional windows for enhanced natural light, the use of floating shelves, a double swing pantry door, and a more functional layout for overall ease of traffic flow. For countertops, our clients were looking for a low-maintenance yet visually stunning option, and we ultimately selected porcelain with the look of marble to check both of those boxes.” – Alessia Loffredo of reDesign Home.

“There are few features we love more than a walk-in kitchen pantry, so we decided to get creative by taking a portion of the garage storage area. By pushing the back wall 18 inches into the oversized garage, we were able to buy square footage and also accommodate a full feature wall for the cooking and prepping adjacent to the pantry.” – Alessia Loffredo of reDesign Home.
