I’ve posted some San Francisco houses before (here and here) and they seem to never disappoint. This traditional San Francisco house was completely renovate by Cardea Building Co. This extraordinary company knew exactly how to respect the existent architecture and they used every space they could to transformed this house into a showcase and an example of great taste when it comes to timeless design.
Every room of this timeless designed house in San Francisco feels sunny and bright, thankfully to its light colors and uncluttered rooms.

Façade
In case you’re wondering about the exterior color: the base color was custom mixed to match the existing. The dark trim is called ‘Kettle Black’ from Benjamin Moore. The light trim is an off white, similar to Atrium White from Benjamin Moore.
Trims
Simply stunning! I also think the shingle siding is very charming.
Beauty
Notice the stunning trims and the curved glass windows.
Entrance
You’re welcomed by a very stylish mirror and lamp. Notice the picture wall.
Living Room
I simply love this classic-modern look.
Write It Down
Wall color: Abalone 2108-60 by Benjamin Moore, trim color: Decorators White by BM. The light comes from Jonathan Adler, sofa is from Ken Fulk Design in SF.
Fire
The fireplace’ stone is white carrera, cut from a 3/4″ thick slab.
We All
This is the “heart” of the house, with the kitchen, eating area and family room all combined.
Kitchen
I love this kitchen! It’s gorgeous but yet, it has a sleek look. Nothing overwhelming about it. Take note: Countertops: Calacatta Oro, walls: Balboa Mist 1549.
I See Light
Light fixtures: Garey Medium Hanging Light ($735 each).
Let’s Cook!
The tile used here are from Ann Sacks – Michael S Smith Labyrinth and the island is honed Calacatta marble with an 1 1/2″ thick mitred edge detail.
Eau
This faucet is made by Blanco and the sink is a “BLANCO PRECISION™ MicroEdge® Super Single Bowl 516201”.
Family
I love how serene this color makes this room feel and also, it unifies the areas. Nice touch of turquoise and coral.
Together
Stunning!
To The Beach
These two areas has a coastal vibe.
Hallway
I really like the mix of color used here.
Up!
The stairs to the upper level. The color to the left is Abalone (BM) and the color in the hallway is Revere Pewter (BM). This is what Cardea Building Co has to say about the flooring: “The flooring is 3/4″ thick white oak select. It is a custom stain made from using DuraStain Ebony and DuraStain Walnut. We used 3 coats of waterbased poly in a matte finish.”
Master Bedroom
This master is simple and calming. The angled walls can be tricky to decorate, but it looks perfect here.

Take note: wall color: Benjamin Moore’s Grege Avenue, bedding: Bloomingdales, mirror: Restoration Hardware.
Hide & Seek
The rug is a natural cow’s hide and the doors are made from TruStile. These doors are 8′ tall, so a bit more than standard 6’8″ doors.
Master Bathroom
I love everything in this bathroom and I adore that vanity chair! Isn’t it fabulous? The sconces are from Restoration Hardware.
Grey & Yellow
My house outside has a very similar color to the walls in this bedroom and I love how the yellow looks with it. I’m thinking of painting my front door on a similar yellow just to change it a little and welcome spring and summer.
Guest Bathroom
The vanity is a custom by Cardea Building Co and the tiles are called ‘Touch of Grey’, from “Ceramic Tile Design” in San Francisco.
The vanity top and tub deck are white carrera slab. The floor tile was 9’x18″ carrera that was cut into 3″x18″ and laid in a herringbone pattern.
Boyzzzz
You guys know I have two boys and a girl, right? If we don’t move out of this house, my boys will have to share bedrooms and this is really inspiring me!
To bed!
Wall color: Fantasy Blue 716 by Benjamin Moore.
Space
This attic bedroom is very spacious and has so much storage.
Kids
This a great study room for the kids.
Colors
Wall color: “Apparition” from Benjamin Moore, the rug is West Elm rug.
The Girl’s Bedroom
This is an adorable big girl’s bedroom.
Green Apple
Wall color: Spring Valley 438.
Sleeping Beauty
The headboard was a custom made and the lighting are by Schoolhouse Electric.
Va Va Vooom
This is the makeup room.
Bathroom
Color is added with accessories. I’m a big fan of subway tiles.
Basement
Isn’t it the basement of our dreams? Wall color: Edgecomb Gray HC-173
Table
This table is a Saarinen Dining Table. The price? $2.758
Bathroom
The countertop is a 2cm thick Ceasarstone fabricated to a 1 1/2″ mitered edge detail.
Backyard
The backyard is tiny, but don’t forget we’re in San Francisco.
Great Idea
They built this cute cottage house for guests, or the mother-in-law.. errrr… okay, maybe not! 😉

It’s hard to believe this is the same house when we look the back!
What are your thoughts about this home? I’d love to hear from you, know your opinion! I think that Cardea Building Co did an amazing job with every detail of this house. It’s not easy to find homes that has this consistence with great materials and design.
