“Fun fact: “The Lemhi” was not our original Spring Parade Home. We had a different home in one of our up-and-coming communities, completely designed and detailed. Like most other local builders, we had to adjust and select a home that would be completed in time for the parade’s opening. With back orders, wrong fixtures arriving, driveway being redone twice. We must say we are incredibly proud of how this beauty turned out.” – Alturas Homes

“I mean, how good is this room? I wanted to bring in this color somewhere and where better than the office right off the front entry? Here I used Smoked Trout by Farrow and Ball and it is the most perfect shade of taupe-y pink that felt like a great fit for this home. I can’t forget to mention the epic chairs from CB2 either, they brought the right amount of modern warmth that sharpened up the whole space.” – Lauren Smyth

“I loved the idea of a completely stained kitchen on a white oak but wanted to modernize it with the flat panel and streamlined hardware. I didn’t want a lot of contrast but just enough to breathe a little life into the palette, so I went with a zellige look tile and wrapped the hood and backsplash in that. I love the undulating shine and visual texture that it created. I didn’t want that oven wall to feel too busy so I paired it with a porcelain slab in a marble look which also provides zero grout lines where it counts. Win-win!” – Lauren Smyth

“After styling glass cabinets vs. open shelves, I got to say, the glass cabinets are so much more forgiving. You don’t need highs and lows, areas of interest, artwork, objects, nothing! I bought a bunch of random white dinnerware, some plastic (Hello, we’re staging!) cups, and it all looked so good on my preliminary setup that I left it. Glass cabinets make plastic cups look like a million bucks… need I say more?!” – Lauren Smyth
