Happy Holidays, my wonderful friends! Christmas is finally here and I hope you celebrate this special time of the year with health and are surrounded by the people you love, even if it’s in a virtual manner. We are a busy family and at this time we try to slow down and finally do what we love, which is cooking together, watching plenty of movies, playing board games, going for walks after some fresh snow has just fallen… isn’t it wonderful to feel that you are enjoying your life and sharing these moments? I think we love this time of the year more than any other because we all stop and finally allow the quietness and peacefulness of the season to touch our heart. It’s a big “exhale” that we all need to allow ourselves to have.
I am so grateful for the inspiring Christmas House Tours I shared with you this year and I couldn’t end this season with a sweeter homeowner. Heather Casteel of @practical.designs (make sure to follow her on Instagram!) recently built her home and she has been creating a place that is constantly inspiring me. I love how peaceful her home feels. It’s trendy but it’s not stuffed with unnecessary things and that’s refreshing. Even the way she decorated her home for Christmas feels perfect.

“Christmas at the Casteel’s” has never been at the Casteel’s until this year. I’m sure just like for the rest of you, Christmas 2020 will be much different than any other year. Yes, it is that way for us because of Covid, but also because this is the first year our 2 year old son is starting to understand Christmas is something to get excited about. We have always traveled to see family in Memphis, but with my love for Christmas, I always knew I wanted Carter to wake up in his own home on the morning of to see what Santa brought him. This will be the first year we will start that tradition.
