Interior designers are always feeling the need of being creative to make their work standout, and many of them aren’t afraid to think “outside-the-box”. I feel very inspired whenever I see someone expressing their view and their taste, even if I know that design isn’t for me. I think we should be open to original ideas because they often make us learn and expand our knowledge.
One of the reasons I love Pinterest is because I always see things that I haven’t seen before, like this interesting project done by Veronica Martinez. She’s an extraordinary designer and has a very creative vision. I was truly captivated by how she hung these frames and I couldn’t help but wanting to know if you like it too.
The question here is not about her work, because I have a huge respect for her vision, but the question is, would you apply this idea into your own space?
Corner
Interior designer Veronica Martinez participated in the “Casa Decor Madrid” with this project, using many natural materials and the interesting idea of hanging the frames in an architectural way.
Project
The designer mixes classic materials such as linen, wood and wool.
See
The wall becomes the focal point thanks to the frames.
What do you think? Do you like this idea of hanging many frames on the corner of a wall? Would you do it at home? I actually think it would be really interesting!
I can’t wait to hear from you!

You guys are the best! Thank you all for voting for “Cool or Fool” to stay. It makes me happy to know you enjoy this series. I think it’s a place not to judge in a bad way, but to see how you feel about unique decor and architecture. Every work is worthy of respect and appreciation.
I want to thank you for your vote, for your comments and for your emails. It’s always great to feel your support and your appreciation for my work.
Talking about “appreciation”, I’m finally saving all my pictures. I have so many pictures in this computer and I never really do anything with them. I miss the time when we took pictures and had to bring it to develop so we could see the pictures. I know it’s more convenient now, but the pictures never get developed and we tend to have them all stuck in our computer for years.
While saving all the “old” pictures, I could see my kids when they were very little. I watched some videos of my daughter learning how to crawl, some of my son learning to say some new words and I felt my love for them grow even more. The kids are in that age that you really need to be firm and constantly teach them. I do relax with them and have great time, but these moments are always interrupted by telling them to how to behave, although they’re truly polite kids. But sometimes, with everything that goes on in our day, sometimes you forget to actually remember how far you have gone on teaching our kids.
Sometimes, you simply live the day without seeing what you’ve truly lived. The hours pass, dinner is served, we rush, we bathe, we watch TV, talk a little, read, check emails for the millionth time and soon we go to bed. How programed are we at times! And we live without seeing, without feeling, without learning the lessons we were supposed to learn.
Seeing the pictures and videos of my kids being so small reminded me that I have already taught so much to them. I tried so hard for my daughter to learn how to crawl, to my son to pronounce some words and now they’re here, so big and so much more independent than they were only 5 years ago. Seeing their progress (something we often take for granted), made me think and appreciate my work as a mother, their work as humans, and it made me appreciate life itself and health.
Let’s appreciate the simple yet irreplaceable Gifts given to us. Let’s not take for granted the lessons the day is giving to us. Let’s learn, and let’s keep our hands open for the blessings we will receive along this journey.
What are you going to appreciate today?

oi Luciane, estou aqui rindo porque salvei uma foto assim, mas não lembro se esta no pinterest ou em algum album do note. É tanta coisa que as vezes me confundo. Acho a idéia super bacana!
bjinhos! lindo findi!
lucianne, you are always so gracious and feel as though i should respond in kind but the only word that keeps popping up in my head is ghastly……sorry

This is cool and I would do it without all the fabric hanging from the walls and ceiling-not that isn’t cool but who/how are you you going to dust/clean such a
creation. The frames are wonderful. I might do it a little different but I like it.
I like it too and think it does have interesting aspects to it. As sizzleandzoom says I might do it a little different but I would do it.
I’m sorry, but I just think it’s ugly and your eye is really drawn to the seam down the corner and not the pictures themselves. It isn harmonious on the eye?
Cool room with the corner frames – very unique. I know what you mean about not getting pictures off the computer – I really need to work on my daughter’s baby album (i’ve let it slide without recording so many things over the past year!)
As an installation I think this is really cool. Like coutour fashion, it’s probably not intended for everyday folks but the concept could be a starting point for a space in someone’s home. Probably not mine… 🙂 L
Very different. Not my taste, but it’s interesting.
Going through your pictures now is so wise b/c waiting until a week before they graduate from high school to make their scrapbook really stresses you out!! 🙂
I say definitely cool.
love it ♥
Hey, this place kinda looks like mine… except i didn’t do it on purpose 🙂 LOVE the frames on the corner! I do not even know where all my digital pics are though… I’m thinking of replacing originals with replicas featuring my family & friends as stick people!
Luciane, you are truly the sweetest! Thank you so much for the mention, and for this ‘Cool or Fool’. I think you probably guessed that in the right space I would definitely give this a go… the frames on the corner part, but not the fabric so much. I am really intrigued by the story you would be able to tell with all those frames, and especially in the way they turn the corner! I’m sorry I didn’t pop by sooner – we had an incredibly busy weekend that, for me, started on Thursday. It was my Dad’s 70th b-day, and we had out-of-town guests come to join in the celebration and fun. My brother and I hosted a BBQ dinner with fresh seafood and the works for Dad, and then my hubby and I hosted a sit-down brunch for everyone the next day. It was an amazing weekend, but I’m only just today getting my feet back under me! So thank you again, my dear friend. You really are the very best!
