Talking about something special, my birthday is getting close and I’m trying to decide where to go to. I feel like trying a new restaurant, but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea. What if the food isn’t that good? I usually read reviews when searching for a good place, but if the food is bad in your birthday, it’s hard to have a good time. Am I right? π
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary a couple of months ago and we went to a restaurant and the food was terrible! The restaurant had great reviews and it seemed to be a very special place, but… what a disappointment! So, I’m trying to be extra cautious this time around. Maybe the best thing to do is going to my favorite restaurant and be more adventurous some other day.
What do you think? Do you try new places on special occasions or you prefer to stick to what you know?
Help me decide on this one!

Hello Luciane, Hope you and yours are all doing well! I love this cottage featured today. I almost feel embraced by the tranquility that exudes simply from the pictures. So lovely. So enchanting. Wish it were mine!
The photos of the countryside are so pretty (understatement!) and the house so charming … to have breakfast on that lawn or better yet a picnic next to that stream would be heaven … maybe you should go on a picnic like that for your birthday!!! Miss you Luciane – we are all just so busy aren’t we? This 2 minute “break” was just lovely – thank you for sharing!!! xoxo Sherri
What a shocker….so light and airy and beautiful!! The setting is DREAMY and FAIRYTALE like….what a perfect place to get away to. If it were mine, I might never come back!
And regarding new places..I am definitely a creature of habit, but also appreciate the value of trying new things…more as I get older. Happy early birthday and happy anniversary:)
happy almost birthday, L.
maybe cook something special together and spend the saved money on good chocolate!

Cottage is wonderful! I love the water flowing through the property. I could spend all day, everyday outside hearing that bubbling brook!
I say go somewhere that a friend you trust highly recommends. It’s fun to go somewhere new!
I love this old-mill turned cottage! Love the original elements they left inside – like the massive gears!
I say go for it (new restaurant) it’s 50/50 you’ll either like it or hate it – so make a game of it!
Oh wow, Luciane, with a view like that, I don’t think I’d ever been inside – it’s gorgeous!! Hope you are all doing well and getting a little rest…
What a lovely place…
I love how big it looks yet each room looks so cozy and warm.
I want to leave there! Its magnificent!
