I’ll be honest, I know very little about Budapest, but this cottage made me want to learn more about it. This romantic cottage is located in a vineyard close to Budapest, Hungary.
With whitewashed wooden cladding and cheerful pops of color, this cottage in Budapest is sure to capture your senses. What grabbed my attention at first was the beautiful curb-appeal of the cottage, with its blue shutters and the lavender surrounding this place.
Best of it all? This a rental cottage! Who wants to book a trip to Budapest?
I hope you enjoy our cottage of the week!
Budapest
A place to relax.
Green
Neutral walls are just like canvas.
Lovely
Use every opportunity you have to express your taste. Display what you love.

Oh, the simple gestures. Aren’t we always living for those moments?
Have a Seat
Beautifully decorated. I love the gray cabinet.
The Room
Two twin beds are forming a single bed. Great idea for cottages.

So much charm! You notice a mix of flea-market finds with more sophisticated items.

This room feels serene and inviting. Imagine sleeping with that fireplace on.
Sunny Day
Let’s all meet here?

I can feel the peacefulness of this place.

Isn’t it a great place? I’m loving how sunny and bright this place feels. Perfect to bring some warmth to us at this time of the year.
Guys, I want to thank you all for the emails you sent, asking if I was feeling better. You’re the best readers/friends I could ever wish for! I’m starting to feel better and I’m very grateful to be back here. I worked all of these days, but I was missing posting.
Thank you for your patience and thank you so much for your emails. I feel so blessed for having each and every one of you here.
Let me share something… You won’t believe what I did yesterday. I climbed on top of my roof! Oh, Lord!!! My husband wanted to clean the chimney and I remember him feeling really uncomfortable doing this last year and I couldn’t help because I was pregnant. Yesterday, he decided it was time to do it again and I know how he feels about height, so I _ without giving it a thought_ climbed on this HUGE ladder and when I saw, I was already up there, on top of our roof! Holy moly! I never knew how tall it really was! LOL
The worst part was opening the top of the chimney. There were so many odd spiders and I was imagining bats flying out of there and squirrels jumping on my face! I was so freaked out! But I did it… at least, I have that “under my belt”. đŸ™‚
The best part was seeing the view from up there. We live by a river that meets the bay only a block from our home and the view from up there was just breathtaking!
I learned two things with this: I needed some excitement! It’s pathetic to say that climbing my roof brought some excitement in my life, but it did! The truth is, anything that goes beyond what you’re used to, can be exciting, interesting and it will grab your attention and make your heart race a little faster. I was missing that sensation.
The other thing I learned today is that we need to rediscover our world. I knew we have a beautiful view, I see the trees, the river and I drive by the beach every single day, but I rediscovered it today and that feels good.
Now, ask yourself… when was the last time you were spontaneous?
When was it the last time you rediscovered something about yourself?
Have a blessed week… and it’s great to be back!

Awesome post. Loved the cottage but loved your words even more… a good reminder that we all need to periodically leave the comfort zone!
So pretty…love how light and airy it is, it was unexpected! The views and pool setting also gorgeous. I agree rediscovering even the day to day things though challenging can be fun!
Glad you are back and even climbing on roofs! Beautiful post, such a pretty place for a relaxing time.
What a lovely place. Someone resisted over-decorating that sweet space, doing a remarkable, artful design!
As always, thanks for the visual delights, Luciane!

WOW! I’m relaxed just having visited through this post! Thank you for sharing!
I’m sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well, Luciane, and happy to hear you’re starting to feel a little better. All the while you climbed up on a roof top? Oh my. You are truly a trooper. I admire you for taking the chimney cleaning task on… No easy feat.
I love the pops of green, amongst the neutrals and glass. This home feels fresh and happy!
Take good care my friend. Thinking of you!
