According to the architects, this traditional home was inspired by the owners’ trips to France. Rigorous attention to proportion, scale and detail brought authenticity to the design.
Living, dining, cooking and circulating in this house seems to be something you’d do with pleasure, especially when you end up at the sunny yellow kitchen.
Many of us dream of having a white kitchen, but when you see this yellow kitchen you suddenly start to appreciate the light and warmth found in this space. The creamy yellow walls are a perfect match for the white marble countertops and white cabinets.
Besides the inspiring yellow kitchen, you’ll also see a terrace and covered porch with a pizza oven that connects the living areas to the outdoors.
The responsible architects for this traditional home, Conard Romano Architects, dismantled and recycled an existing house on the property. This new home now features geothermal heating and natural ventilation strategies to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. That proves we can still have a spacious but environment-friendly home.
Traditional Home with Yellow Kitchen
This yellow kitchen is simply breathtaking! Cornsilk by Benjamin Moore is a similar color.
Yellow Kitchen & White Marble Countertops
The white marble countertops create a beautiful contrast against the yellow walls.
This white double basin farmhouse sink can be found here. I’m very intrigued by the foot pedal under the sink. I believe it opens a trash door hands free, which would be a fantastic idea!
Kitchen Cabinets
Beautiful hardware. The doors on both sides makes it easier to clean the cabinets. I have them at home and I love it.
Yellow Kitchen Design
White and blue china always look great against yellow. Lovely decor.
To The Patio
Here you can truly see the yellow color on the walls. It’s a very cheerful one!
Creamy White Walls
This covered porch is just incredible! What’s there not to love? You have a great BBQ area and even a pizza oven!
Pizza Oven
I appreciate the simple lines used to create this pizza oven. It’s simple and elegant… well, who knew a pizza oven could be elegant, huh? But there it is! 😉

Traditional millwork is found in many areas of this house.
Bathroom
Fabulous floor! I also like the well-designed separated vanities. The bath in the middle becomes the focal point of this bathroom.
Paint color: Sherwin Williams’ Rain, SW6219 is a similar color.

In Florida I had a white and yellow kitchen and I miss it so much just wish I had those counter tops and glass door cabinets!!! I do want to do an outdoor eating area with fireplace. How can you resist eating outside in that photo.
