Having a hotel spa style bathroom is a sure way to win over potential buyers. A luxurious bathroom is one of the top desirable when it comes to a new home and with the main fixtures done well, plus some nice design touches, it’s not too hard to create that wow-factor.
Bath, Shower and Sink
The free-standing bath is one of the most coveted bathroom items of all but when it comes down to actual day-to-day use, an extra special power shower is a must. Designer bathrooms often boast a unit that has a variety of spray functions and even mounted bodysprays on the walls.
If you have the space, a wetroom feel never fails to impress. Just selecting an elegant shower screen, shower tray and some reliable waterproofing materials is enough to give your bathroom a contemporary look, regardless of the budget.
A wide, wall-mounted sink is another handy way of creating a luxurious feel while making the most of your available space.
Lighting
Lighting can make or break a bathroom. Avoid bright ceiling bulbs. Instead, add soft lighting with wall sconces, pendants or chandeliers. An illuminated mirror is another nice touch that doubles as a space-saver. Consider using zoned lighting for the busy morning and always opt for the humble candle when it comes to relaxing evenings in the bath.
Tiling
Your bathroom isn’t just a utilitarian space, it says a lot about your character too. Classic or funky tiling can really help bring out the personality of the room. Large tiles are big for 2013. They’re great for reflecting natural light. Glass tiles are also proving popular. They create a bright, rich look with the added bonus of extra protection against water damage. If you really want your bathroom to turn heads, consider using geometric tiling for a truly standout look.

The second photo of a beautiful bathroom is my favorite but I would add some hidden storage. Storage is important in bathrooms/kitchens.
