I have shared some of Linda McDougald’s designs here before and if you remember her name, I am sure you’re getting excited to see her newest project. Linda McDougald and her team from Postcard from Paris are ultra-talented interior designers and showing their projects here is always a pleasure for me.
When I first saw on Houzz what I like to call a “Modern Home with Elegant Interiors”, I knew it was a design that many of you would feel inspired by. The interior, to be honest, is not for those who love color. This home is for those who prefer a calmer environment to live in.
This house actually feels like a perfect place to come home to after a long day at work; a place that leaves all the noisy clutter of the world behind and welcomes you with its sophisticated zen color palette.
The design found in this home has modern influences, present especially in the crisp white kitchen and the powder room. But having said that, this home also has a very elegant approach, thanks to its stunning mix of tailored designer furniture and antiques.
Everything about this three-story, 11,000-square-foot home feels soothing yet dramatic, showcasing the highest levels of craftsmanship and design in a very stylish way.

Isn’t this house a dream? I can’t get enough of its fine furnishings and the quality of materials found in this home.
Do you have a favorite room? I felt very inspired by the kitchen and also the home office. The linen-covered books are incredibly charming!
Now, you tell me what you liked the most about this home.
A special thank you goes to interior designer Megan Keisling, from Postcard from Paris, for sharing all the information above. Megan was very helpful when I asked her to share the sources of this fabulous home. Once again, thank you so much Melissa!!! 🙂
So, how everyone is doing today? Did you all have a fun long weekend? It was incredibly warm here. All you want to do is being by the water and have as many popsicles as possible! 🙂
Oh, we also went on a day trip last Thursday to a flea-market and I regret not bringing my camera, so I could share some “finds” with all of you. I found so many unique things that I wish I could bring all home with me. Unfortunately I didn’t have space in the car, since the whole family was with me — I’m talking about benches and coffee tables.
My husband said I’m the kind of person that should rent a moving truck every time I go to a flea-market…. LOL…What can I say? I love finding unique pieces for my home and for my clients.
Alright, guys… I hope we all have a very healthy and fun week! Many blessings and thank you for stopping by today!

My favorite thing about this home is the attention to detail, every single little thing is perfection, that being said it is not my favorite style a little too formal for this gal, but I truly appreciate it….oh the tile on the tub surround, that kept me going back several times to take another look…
