This classic family home reflects a crisp, coastal style and it has a very natural approach. Even though I could easily live with any of these rooms, it’s the fabulous white kitchen that really inspired me.
Being part of the 2012 Parade of Homes, this home was built by Tamarack Custom Homes and designed by Cindy Parker Interiors with great attention to details.
The moment you enter, you’re embraced by a beautiful foyer that leads you to a sunny yellow living room. The decor is cheerful as the wall color and the river view! But if you haven’t fallen in love yet with the living room, wait until you get to the kitchen! I am sure you’ll find plenty of inspiration there, especially with if you’re a fan of white cabinets, Calacatta marble and butcher block countertops. This kitchen really has it all!
Enjoy seeing this beautiful family home. It really offers the perfect blend of usability and elegance.
Family Home with Fabulous White Kitchen
The living room is painted in a yellow with blue chairs, a linen chesterfield sofa, and a pair of yellow chairs by the fireplace.
Living Room
The blue chairs are the “Oxford Chair” from Bassett Furniture. Aren’t they gorgeous?
Happy Design
I love this relaxed coastal look.
White Kitchen
This white kitchen is simply gorgeous! It has white cabinets, Calacatta marble and butcher block countertops, two islands and three sinks.
Dimensions: The room is roughly 19’x31′.
Kitchen Design
The main island has Butcher block counters and a farmhouse sink. I really like the white subway tile with an inset of marble herringbone mosaic tile, but I can’t live the black grout. Am I too picky?! 🙂
The island lights are the Haverhilll Pendant from Hudson Valley Lighting.
Cabinets
I love the crisp white cabinets and the hardware, but the black grout still bothers me… LOL
Do you prefer light or dark grout with white tiling? I want to know!
Eating Area
The wicker chairs are the “Saybrook Dining Chairs” from Pottery Barn and the side chairs and cushions are from Restoration Hardware.
The dining table is also from Restoration Hardware and the chandelier is from Hubbardton Forge.
Paint Color
Paint Color is “SW6127 Ivoire by Sherwin-Williams”.
The ceiling and trim are “Sugar Dust from Miller Paint”.
Laundry Room
The laundry room (photo by “Antique Style“) feels sunny with this yellow paint.
Similar paint color: Mannequin Cream 2152-60 by Benjamin Moore.
Staircase
The stairs were created on site, but the rest of the floor is a 3/4″ pre-engineered hardwood from Kentwood.
Master Bedroom
I fell in love with this master bedroom the moment I saw it. I simply love the wall color! Isn’t it stunning?
Sources: Bedding: The duvet is from Pottery Barn, the quilt and shams are from the Crescent Moon collection from Barbara Barry.
The nightstand is by Basset furniture. The bed and bench are also from Basset Furniture. The bed is a soft, velvet-like fabric and the bench has a subtle geometric pattern on it with distressed cream legs.
Chairs: The chairs are from Bassett Furniture and are in Woven, Stone, 5074-1.
Draperies are from Ikea and mirrors are from HomeGoods.
Light fixture is by Barbara Barry.
Paint Color
Paint Color is “SW6204 Sea Salt by Sherwin-Williams”.
For a Boy
Paint Color: The blue is “SW 6243 Distance by Sherwin-Williams”. The rest of the room is “Perfect Greige, also by Sherwin-Williams”.
The desk is from West Elm and has bone inlay. Artwork above it is by ZGallerie.
Chevron Duvet is by West Elm. Turtle shell are also from West Elm.
The bed is the Small Spaces Upholstered bed from Bassett Furniture.
Sunroom
The sunroom is so cozy… I would love to read here. The pillows are also great. They’re happy and feminine.
This home possesses an amazingly livable flow and truly stunning design. It’s a place that many of us can see ourselves living in it.
Do you have a favorite room?

Love the chesterfield sofa! The kitchen is lovely, but I know what you mean about the grout. For want of a better descriptive word, it makes it look ‘dirty’ to me some how.
Hi Faye!
Exactly! I feel the same way about the grout! LOL It looks dirty and it always look a little messy when you look on the sides.
So, it’s not just me… right? 🙂
Thank you for your comments, Faye. I always enjoy reading them!

Gorgeous feel to that home. Floors are beautiful. I like white grout with white tiles personally – that’s what we’ll be doing soon in our kitchen reno. And it will be a white kitchen but very small! 🙂
I would Love to know where you purchased the rug under the dining room set. Thank you!
Hello Mary Jane.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the rug source. Please try to contact the designer for further information.

Hi, love love the dining room chandelier. Do you have a source for this? Thanks
Your home is just darling. Reminds me of my hometown. Charleston, SC 🙂 I’m in love with your patio furniture. Would you happen to know where it was purchased?
Hi! We are trying to decide on a layout for a custom home. We love the two islands, but trying to decide how to flow it into the other rooms. I would love to see your floor plan? Gorgeous home and decor. Thanks, Tasha
