LEED Coastal Cottage
This beautiful LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) coastal cottage is so private! I love the threes… it’s definitely a peaceful place to be.
Coastal Inspired
This inviting cottage has quarter sawn white oak floors, incredible trim details, alder wood features, and well-appointed furnishings.
Paint Color
Paint Color is “Benjamin Moore HC-82 Bennington Grey”.
Family Room
Comfy and practical. This coastal family room is incredibly inviting!
Kitchen
This kitchen offers so much more than just a weekend cooking experience in this LEED cottage. Incredible views of the lake, granite countertops, all custom cabinetry and Kohler fixtures.
Lighting: “Landmark Lighting Menlow Park 60042-3 Pendant – in the oil-bronze color with the clear glass”.
Design
A separate pantry houses the double oven.
Granite is “Jupareana Gold Dark”, a color that has a beautiful blend of lights and darks. It’s a beautiful granite if used with bronze fixtures and creamy colored cabinets that have a light, warm colored chocolate glaze.
Sunroom
You can never have enough outdoor living space! This 4 seasons porch has a real-wood burning, masonry fireplace, radiant-heat bluestone flooring, insulated walls and ceilings, exterior siding used on the interior walls, stained wood ceiling, and insulated, functional windows.
The ceiling is a rough pine tongue and groove with a custom stain color.
Coastal Touch
This large sitting/entertainment area is partnered with a large dining area that can seat 12-14 people, which is perfect for a spacious cottage like this one.
Laundry Room
Even at the cottage, laundry needs to be done. But is can be done in style in this quaint, highly functional laundry room. Whirpool Duet washer/dryer, custom cabinetry and CaeserStone countertop with a chipped stone edge make the room have a more casual feel.
Small Bunk Room
This is a super fun space for the kids, with two sets of custom bunks with storage closets and beanbags for TV watching.
Bedroom
The owner’s suite considers all the best in this LEED cottage; incredible views of the lake, location just off the main living area, and a cozy space to relax.
Bathroom
The bath suite have double vanities, natural stone flooring and shower, CaeserStone countertops, custom cabinets in a light paint tone, and walk-in-closet just off the bath.

Balcony
A great place to enjoy the lake view.
Guest Bedroom Paint Color
Paint Color here is “Benjamin Moore 2139-50 Silver Marlin”.
Small Bathroom
What a fun bathroom! Notice the “fish towel self”. Isn’t that great? I also like the paint color brought to the ceiling. It looks great with the white tiles.
The countertop material is Caesar Stone and the color is “Deep Ocean Blue”.
Coastal Blue Bedroom
Each bedroom in this LEED Certified Platinum cottage has a feeling all it’s own. This bedroom, with lake views, carries lake colors into it and the attached guest bath. I am loving the reclaimed barn wood headboard and the sisal carpet.
Gardens & Porches
This Lake Michigan, LEED Certified Platinum, cottage has cedar shakes as an natural exterior clad and 1346 sq. ft. of porches.
Outdoor Shower
Outstanding exterior features are found here: cedar shakes, bluestone patio with a covered roof and an outdoor shower with a custom cedar slate over a natural water basin.
Firepit
This sitting area overlooks a preserved area of land. A gas firepit offers a unique setting for conversation, while enjoying the views and sounds of lake as the sun sets.
Cottage Life
This cottage have 125′ lake frontage. Isn’t that view heavenly?
