Before we decide on renovating our kitchen, we usually take a long time just dreaming on how our ideal kitchen would look like. We start collecting pictures (have you seen my kitchen board on Pinterest yet? It’s full of great kitchen ideas!), saving money — let’s be honest, no matter how small your changes will be, kitchen renos are never cheap! Then after balancing everything you want with everything you can have, you feel ready to start transforming your space into the best kitchen you can afford. Isn’t that a great feeling?
I love designing many interiors, but there’s something very special about designing kitchens. They are never easy or simple, but they can be fun!
You might ask yourself why it can be pricey to have an interior designer designing a kitchen, and even though I feel we should be fair with our prices, I have to tell you how much effort comes from our part. Even a small kitchen should be thought-out thoroughly before being designed. You can not only see but also feel when a kitchen is designed above its potential. The kitchen becomes more practical, efficient and appealing. Is it worth the money asking a professional for help when renovating your kitchen? This will always depend on who you’re asking help to, but if you do your research and hire a competent designer, this can help you to not make mistakes that can cost you more money down the road.
This is exactly what these homeowners did when they were ready to renovate their outdated kitchen. They envisioned a space where they could cook while entertaining and have plenty of space for the whole family. Trendy materials were replaced with tasteful timeless choices, resulting in a classic off-white kitchen that will please many, and hopefully, including you.
Traditional Off-White Kitchen Design
This inspiring kitchen has stunning carved limestone hood, soapstone island, and coffered ceiling.
Also, make sure to note the butler’s pantry far ahead and the desk area on the right.
Kitchen Cabinet
Perfect combination of marble countertop, backsplash and “warm” brass hardware.
The French carved stone range hood is by Francois & Co.
Kitchen Hardware
Hardware is the “Berenson Euro Retro 15/16″ (24mm) Cabinet Knob (Dull Antique Brass)”.

Butler’s Pantry Design
The cabinetry in this space is impeccable. I also really like the amount of prep area this pantry offers. The extra sink is a big plus!

A beautiful buffet cabinet with French pewter top & leaded glass was placed by the eating area to add charm and more storage space.

If having a dream kitchen is not enough, this home comes also with a perfectly designed sunroom.

Seeing this kitchen made me want to cook! My husband loves to cook, so we try to share the kitchen between the two of us, but I have to say that sometimes I love to have it all for myself. I love his food… but not his mess! 🙂
I’m off to plan dinner for tonight. Talk to you guys tomorrow!

Wow beautiful….especially love the sunroom, so cozy and beautiful!
I love that your entire post was spotlighting one home instead of several. I got to see so many details that I loved in the kitchen and what a pleasant surprise the sun room is.

THIS was a beautiful and well thought out kitchen, I feel!! While, personally, I’m not a “fan” of white kitchens (depends on the architecture…I now live in a log cabin…) this looked perfect. We just installed “slate gray” cabinets, integrated appliances and a metallic bronze “movable” island (we customized with casters.) The color “picks up” the “knots” in the logs and “blends” with the surroundings…franki
I love light kitchens, just like this one. I am really impressed with great cabinet work and this is perfection. 10 years ago we designed a home that never had built and I had those same windows in the kitchen and had the idea of putting a cabinet in front so I could have the space and the light, I have only seen that done a few times but when I do I think of that dream home we never built.
I visited the Francois’ showroom in Mpls last week. The pewter counter top, mantels, and flooring are so incredible! Thank you for all your wonderful blogs. I so appreciate them all!
