Designed by one of my favorites architects, Austin Patterson Disston Architects, this new 3,800 square-foot Shingle Style beach house overlooks both Moriches Bay and a large marsh conservancy. Its many nautical references — such as round windows, a compass floor inset, bead-board paneling, upper and lower porches — contribute to its coastal architecture.
The house also features classic Shingle Style characteristics, neither grand nor pretentious, with a simplified trim system that reflects contemporary life and family living.

Shingle Style Beach House
There’s so much to love in this “curvaceous” foyer, from its Dutch-door to the unique coastal-inspired newel post.
Paint Color: Pure White paint color SW 7005 by Sherwin-Williams – My latest favorite crisp white paint color!
Living Room
This coastal living room feels so comfortable and stylish! It invites you to have a sit and enjoy the ocean views.
Wall Color is similar to “Sherwin Williams SW 7050 Useful Gray“ – The same color I am painting my main floor with.

This dining room just dropped my jaw! It’s feminine and with the timeless, classic blue & white motif that we love!
Chair Fabrics: Linen is “Sky Blue” from Jane Churchill and the floral, “Roslyn” from “Sanderson”.

Cream White Kitchen
This is a good example of cream (off-white) kitchen design. Now, we see why it’s so trendy to have a cream white kitchen these days – they’re calming and classic.
Pendant lighting is by “Remains Lighting”.
Eating Nook
This eating nook feels casual and stylish. Isn’t that table perfect for a beach house?
Sweet Dreams
This coastal bedroom has everything you could wish for, even ocean views!
Bathroom
This is not a big bathroom, but the interior designer used the space wisely, adding a nook and large windows to bring plenty of natural light in and expand the beautiful water views.

Isn’t this a beautiful home? I loved the calming vibe you get from the interiors. There’s plenty of natural light and comfy furnishings, something always good to have in any home.
So, what did you do during the weekend? My husband and I finished painting our formal dining room and living room and trim/crown molding in some rooms. I still want to paint our family room, kitchen, mudroom, kids’ bedrooms, our front doors, gee.. the list goes on and on, but we’ll keep doing it slowly, after all it’s never easy to paint a house with kids running from one side to the other. 🙂
