Kitchen design trends come and go, but if you really want to save money and headaches, you will stick with classic choices, just like the well-known interior designer Suzanne Kasler did when renovating this kitchen.
Painted in Suzanne Kasler’s favorite white paint color, “Benjamin Moore’s Linen White 912”, the cabinets and walls in this kitchen have that soft glow that only creamy white kitchens can carry.
What once was a very dated and dark kitchen, Suzanne transformed it into a light and airy space, thanks to a unified all-white palette punctuated by subtle hits of color and pattern. The result is a kitchen design with plenty of personality, character and timeless appeal.

Ultimate White Kitchen Design
To create an elegant, light-filled look, Suzanne painted the walls and cabinetry the same creamy white and then continued the less-is-more palette with white marble countertops, a white tile backsplash, and linen barstools.
Pendant Lights: Black Hammered Metal Hanging Shade (15474) fro Edgar Reeves.
Stools: Suzanne Kasler collection, Amsterdam (1552-04) in Birch, from Hickory Chair.
Countertops: Alabama White Marble.
Backsplash
The overscale 6-by 9-inch subway tiles by “Waterworks” have a textured glaze for an understated-chic look.
Backsplash Details: “Archive Field Tile 6×9 in Glossy White by Waterworks”.
Range is by Wolf.
Sink
This is the classic “Shaws Original” (RC3018) apron-front sink from ROHL. The sink is extra deep and perfect for washing pots and pans.
Faucet: Parq Deck-Mount Gooseneck (K-6130-4-CP) by Kohler.
Valance fabric is “Suzanne Kasler Montmartre Clay Blue” for Lee Jofa.
Sconces are the “Aspen Iron Wall Sconce” from Circa Lighting.
Kitchen Cabinet
I like the idea of designing a cabinet on corner to store books and other special decorative items.
Cabinet hardware:” Knurled Pulls and Knobs”.
Creamy White Kitchen Paint Color
The paint color in this creamy white kitchen is Benjamin Moore Linen White 912.
Eating Nook
The designer turned one corner of the kitchen into a cheery dining area with an L-shaped built-in bench that mimics the cabinetry. To keep the dining nook cozy she surrounded the metal bistro table with slipcovered armchairs and hung a sparkly chandelier above.
Blue pillow fabric: Crillon Linen in Seafoam, from the Suzanne Kasler collection by Lee Jofa.
Chandelier is the “Small Percival in Natural Rusted Iron/Old White Wood” from Circa Lighting.
Chair: 5025-01C from Lee Industries.
Laundry Room
Oh, and just because we love laundry rooms almost as much we love kitchens, here’s the gorgeous laundry room Suzanne Kasler designed for the lucky homeowner.
A high-gloss lilac ceiling adds unexpected color, while a Dutch door and built-in dog beds keep their dogs contained and comfortable in the space. How perfect is that?
Pendants are the 18-inch “Clemson Prismatic Single by Restoration Hardware”.
Curtain fabric: “Smokebush in Orchid on White Linen by Galbraith & Paul”.
Dutch Door Paint Color: Sea Gull Grey (30YY 42/083) by Devoe Paint.
Ceiling Paint Color: Carly’s Color (90BB 58/072) by Devoe Paint.

Can you imagine having Suzanne Kasler designing your home? She’s one of the very few people I wouldn’t hesitate to give my keys on her hands and come back only when everything is done. She has an amazing taste and talent.
Do you have a favorite interior designer? Let’s imagine money isn’t a subject, who would you call to decorate your home?
Oh, and talking about decorating, my husband just started painting our family room. Next step? Kitchen! Can’t wait!!!
Just before I go, I want to thank all of you for keep coming back here every day. Lovely spaces! One designer that I would definitely hand my keys over to is Jessica Helgerson. The combinations of moody & light, textured and sleek, rustic and modern, that she incorporates into her interiors make me drool 🙂 Thanks for sharing this kitchen!
Such a pretty, fresh and bright kitchen, that could make you want to spend a lot of time in there!! Have a great day.
What a gorgeous kitchen!!! LOVE Suzanne’s fabric on the window treatments, just so pretty! The laundry room is fabulous too! Love how they remembered the dogs in the design! 🙂
You know how we LOVE white kitchens and this one is gorgeous!! Suzanne Kasler always gets it right. I have always said that if I could have any designer and price was no object mine would be Phoebe Howard and Kristy’s would be Mary McDonald, but I think we would both be thrilled with anything Suzanne would do! Exciting to be getting your family room and kitchen painted!!
How pretty is that Sea Gull gray!!! franki
I love everything about this kitchen, absolutely beautiful!
We are doing a DIY kitchen remodel and I am in the process of painting my new cabinets linen white. Also have a shaws sink. Looking at these pictures, the cabinet color looks yellow against all the white. I want my cabinets to look creamy white, not yellow. We are doing soapstone perimeters and walnut island top. Does anyone think those materials will keep the cabinets from looking yellow?
Not speaking against this kitchen! It’s gorgeous!
I love the bistro table. Can you tell me where you purchased it. Thanks.
Hello! I was wondering if you can share how you created the valances?
Hello Amanda,
Please contact the designer (under sources) for more information.
Thank you.
Luciane
Love the kitchen! Currently undertaking a renovation of our own. Can you share the brand of cabinetry in the kitchen? The dishwasher panel sits flush with the rest of the cabinets, but I cannot get my kitchen designer, cabinet company or installer to understand this concept! Frustration setting in!
Hi Haley,
I’m so sorry you’re having difficulties with your kitchen design. You should’ve hired me as you designer!LOL
The interior design was impeccably done by Suzanne Kasler, but the kitchen designer was Matthew Quinn. Try to contact him for more details about the brand of the cabinet. Unfortunately I don’t have this information with me. You can contact Matthew here: http://designgalleria.net/index.html
You also should show these pictures to your designer/cabinet maker. Maybe they need to see the details to understand better what you’re looking for.
I hope this helps!
