If you’ve read my blog for a while, you know my taste by now. I love coastal homes, elegant traditional interiors and homes that are built for family living. These interior styles are my main focus on the blog, but from time to time I like to step way from the expected and share interiors that even if I know it’s not a place where I would live at, I can still feel inspired and intrigued by it.
Take this sophisticated refurbished Victorian London home for example. Designed by Alexander James Interiors, the interiors embrace elegance with interesting furnishings and decor, which complement the traditional period that the home was built.
A muted light color palette was used with fine ebony wood, antique silver finishes and luxurious tactile fabrics to enhance both the heritage and modernity of the building. The result is a dramatic mix of contemporary and traditional design that feels sexy and worldly.
Sophisticated London Home
After posting this picture last week on my “Interior Design Ideas“, I wanted to find out more about this home. The rest of the house brings the same chic feel from room to room.

Pure luxury! I love the fabric selection on the pillows.

Where’s the Party?
The living room was designed with pure elegance in mind, and this place feels perfect for entertaining.
Floors
Floors are chevron patterned oak floor with Jacobean stain. Finished on site.
Details
The finer details in this space ensures a delicate, crisp finish.
Dining Room
Cream tones and delicate use of accessories create a pretty dining area.
Contemporary Kitchen
This contemporary kitchen is minimalist, but with personality. I like the open shelves, skylight and the limestone floors.
Light under the island adds interest to the piece.
Media Room
This is a very comfortable and masculine media room. I would love to curl up on that couch.
Stairs
I am loving this staircase with traditional spindles and the stair runner. Rods add a classic touch. Love this!
Bedroom
The master bedroom is pure opulence. Stunning fabric choices and decor!
Sconce
What a fantastic sconce! It’s dramatic and feminine at the same time.
Bathroom
This is a stunning bathroom, from its marble flooring and backsplash to this unique freestanding bathtub.
Freestanding Tub
This tub is the “La Belle” in Graphite Noir, by Villeroy and Boch.
Guest Bedroom
The guest bedroom feels luxurious and inviting. That headboard is sure to impress.
Vanity Desk
A little spot to take care of yourself. 🙂

Hi Home Bunch….I love the wall color paired with darker molding/picture molding…I know you said Collingwood color, do you think that is the darker trim with a light wall, perhaps a classic grey? I would LOVE to do this in my dining room!
