It’s always fun to do what you love and I have to say that preparing posts for this series is always a pleasure for me. As most of you know, I am being busy around my house, painting every room with my husband, trying to get everything to look “spotless”, since we’re trying to sell our home and if allow me to be truly honest with you, I have to say that it’s not being easy. The market here is incredibly slow, almost no existent in our price range. I know we’ll need to be patient and persistent. In fact, we tried to sell our house before and nothing happened and that just proved to us that we can’t rush, we need to have faith and do what we can do.
“We need to have faith and do what we can do”. Isn’t that always easier said than done? Do I have faith? Yes, I surely do, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t get mad and ask why this is not happening just the way we feel it should be happening.
Those are the days, when I am stressed and wondering why things are not going on the direction I really wish they were , that I realize that I am powerless towards some things. You realize that you are not in control of every aspect of your life, and you start to understand that your patience is being tested. If you’re wise you will pay attention to every step you will have to take to get where you want to be. Every step you take has something to show you and the higher you get, the better the view will be.
Take your battles as Blessings. Learn from them… learn every lesson you’re here to learn and don’t rush. Life only feels short when you haven’t had the time to learn your purpose.
Take the time to breathe, get to know yourself and be patient.

Patience is one of the hardest lessons I think. Best of luck on selling your home. I have a friend going thru same thing. I always remind her something my mother always said to me…things happen for a reason. But like you say, easier said than done. btw wonderful post, as always!

Just put our house of 26 years on the market, so I know how you feel. We’ve been purging, painting, and polishing for the last year and a half, and now I’m stressed at trying to keep it looking perfect for showings. I’ve come to realize that I just need to let it go (not the housekeeping!) – the worries, the stress, as well as our home itself. I need to step back and detach from the outcome. I know that everything will work out well for me, and for you, too. I think when we let go of trying to control everything, we allow the miracles of the Universe to step in and find a better way than we ever could. Easier said than done, I agree.
