As an interior designer I always listen to my clients needs and try to design their homes with many things in mind, including their budget. Of course, this varies from client to client, but regardless, I always do my best to save some money whenever possible. Realistically speaking, renovating a kitchen rarely comes cheap, especially if you’re replacing countertops, backsplash and other costly elements. That’s why I can appreciate when a beautifully designed kitchen like this one shows that it’s completely fine (and even fun) to mix more expansive items with causal and affordable ones. This creates a balance to this kitchen, making it a place where you would like to spend time in and not be afraid to cook and make a mess!
Take a look at this inspiring casual pale gray kitchen and take notes on the designer choices for this project!
Casual Pale Gray Kitchen Design
Stunning monochromatic kitchen with walls and cabinetry painted in a pale gray and dark stained hardwood floors. The light grey cabinets are accented with nickel hardware alongside marble counters and backsplash behind the stovetop with disguised oven hood behind false cabinet fronts.
The kitchen also features a wall of cabinetry framing a built-in stainless steel double oven.
Kitchen Island Design
The kitchen island with breakfast bar includes a farmhouse sink and polished nickel bridge faucet.
Gray Kitchen Cabinet Paint Color
“Benjamin Moore Gray Owl”
Kitchen Countertop & Backsplash Combo
Countertop and backsplash are Carrera Marble.
Kitchen Island Lighting
The kitchen island features a pair of “Serena and Lily Birds Nest Hanging Lamps” and a pair of backless seagrass counter stools. I love how casual they make this kitchen feel.
Powder Room
Wall and Cabinet Paint Color: “Benjamin Moore OC-52 Gray Owl”.
Is it just me or is this week is going by too fast? I haven’t being feeling well and things are piling up around here, including my laundry! I have so much to do today, from working on a project (that I am loving btw), driving the kids to their practices and take care of our new puppy. It should be an exciting day! 🙂
Wishing you all a Happy & Healthy Day! We’ll talk some more tomorrow.
