Your Bedroom Space
Bedrooms are often a place where we can go to relax, and forget about our troubles by drifting off and finding the right escapism. However, some bedroom spaces are exceedingly small, and finding space within them is difficult. Some children may share a bedroom, and therefore may have very little personal space. Help is at hand, there are some small double beds available in various styles and price ranges, leaving space for anything else. There are a few space saving tips below, which will help your or your children’s bedroom appear more practical and user-friendly.
Top Saving Tips
1: Wardrobe
Leave an entire wall for a wardrobe. This will give you plenty of storage space and will keep the room organized.
2: Storage Bed
Use a storage bed hack – many of the major retailers sell these types of bed. This particular type of bed with built in drawers are perfect to store anything from stationery to clothing. These are ideal if there is no room for an actual wardrobe, and you could even make your own.
3. Hanging Rod
Hanging coats hangers attached to the ceiling are a fantastic way of storing clothes without the need for a wardrobe.
4: Bed Bookcase Ideas
When buying a new bed, look for beds with smart storage ideas. Some already come with bookcases and they can look great in a small bedroom. If you have some extra cash, invest in a custom bookcase to add a more custom feel to your home.
5: Nightstand Storage
When choosing to buy furniture for your small bedroom, always keep storage in mind. You will be surprise with the amount of smartly designed furniture you will find. This sleek nightstand features two shelves and a drawer. As you see, this is not only a beautiful piece but also practical.
6: Small Bedroom = Small Desk
If you have some extra space, try to bring a small desk into the room. Here the designer replaced a nightstand for a beautiful desk. Notice that this desk still offers storage as well.
7: Hide your Bed

A great way of housing a bed is by using a Murphy bed. The room is left completely free to store other objects/furniture when the bed has gone away.
8: Under the Bed Storage
Having under bed storage is a real bonus, as essential items can be kept in a safe place. Buying storage boxes from your local utility store would be the first step, and then deciding what will go under bed will be the next.
9: Stay Neutral
Stay away from deep colors in small bedrooms. Use a neutral paint color on the walls and go straight to a creamy palette with one dominant accent color to give it a larger sense of space.
