For this whole-house remodel, the homeowners wanted an open floor plan with contemporary finishes and bright colors. To meet their needs, they hired Revision LLC, one of the best boutique remodelers in the Twin Cities area. They completely transformed what once was an old, dark and completely outdated cottage by installing reclaimed Barnwood beams, removed walls to relocate the kitchen and create an open dining room, added new windows and new exterior siding and columns. The brick fireplace got a “facelift” with white paint and new built-ins and they also redesigned the mudroom, added a practical main level powder room and saved as much of the original maple floors as possible. For that, they did a special acid treatment to give the old floors a grey ash color.
This is a remodel you want to keep in mind. Make sure to take notes on paint colors, flooring, lighting, tiling and more!
I love how open and bright this cottage feels. The light grey paint color, the new windows and the new Dutch front door helps with that.

We are building a house and need to choose an all over paint color. We are using primarily gray tones, but our cabinets are off white (warm white) and we have a navy kitchen island. I am trying to stay away from tan, beige and grieges, but not have the house feel too cold either. Do you have a color you would recommend in Sherwin Wiliams ? Would Site White by Sherwin Williams work?
