This kitchen is part of a major whole house renovation done by one of my favorite interior designers and close friend Kate Abt from Kate Abt Design. Being on the water, the clients wanted a coastal Nantucket feel incorporating modern elements as well as older classic and timeless details like it had been there for many years. Working with architect Tony Pond, builder Paragon Properties and the clients who had such an eye for detail, the designer says that it was a true collaboration that was an absolute pleasure to work on.
Take notes on paint colors and more sources shared by the designer.
This kitchen features custom cabinets by Woodburns and the cabinets are painted in Benjamin Moore White Dove OC-17.
Lucite Bar Stools: Gabby Home.
Wall paint color is Benjamin Moore Pale Oak. It looks great with the BM White Dove cabinets, doesn’t it?
Kitchen Hardware: Top Knobs.
The kitchen faucet is Brizo.
Sink: Create Good Sinks.
Countertop is quartz – Caesarstone Frosty Carrina.
Backsplash is Walker Zanger – Café series in Milk Gloss. I love these tiles!
There something so beautiful and realistic about this island vignette. It’s simple and actually useful! 🙂
The kitchen runner is by Ruggables.
Appliances: GE Monogram and Kitchen Aid.
The grey paint color is Mylands col Archway House 106.
Hardware: Cremone bolts – Van Dyke Restorers.
I love the details of this hutch, from its hardware to its two-toned cabinets.
The kitchen floors are DuChateau – Olde Dutch European Oak.
Behind the kitchen is a hidden butlers pantry/prep kitchen accessed through the swing door to the left of the range.
Next to the kitchen an octagonal sunroom was added on and Nano doors were added to divide the areas for entertaining.
The sunroom features a sleek fireplace with tv niche and tongue and groove ceilings.
The millwork paint color is Benjamin Moore White Dove.
Bench is from Ballard Designs.
The wall paint color is Benjamin Moore Pale Oak. I often recommend Benjamin Moore Pale Oak to my clients as well. It goes perfectly with Benjamin Moore White Dove trim as we can see here.
The Darlana Lantern and sconce (bottom) are both from Visual Comfort.
Kate’s client searched high and low to find this vintage door hardware, which is from England.

Hi! I’m trying to pick out trim and door paint and was wondering if your door (with the black handle) is the same color as the trim (white dove). Thanks!
Hi Haydee,
Yes, the door is also in Benjamin Moore White Dove.
I hope this helps,
Luciane

What are the island dimensions (in this Nantucket-Inspired White Kitchen Design)? Thanks.
I have a question about the cremone bars you used in the Nantucket kitchen. I see that you installed them without the top latch insert. By any chance are these non-functioning? Using them for a client and they are not inset but panel. It looks like you set them center to the cabinet panel. Would you mind telling me? Thanks so much!!!!!!!
