Pallets can make a perfect couch frame, especially if you’re going for more of that casual almost futon-like feel. You can then choose a dense foam, specifically made for couches, and cover it in whatever material you like. Not only will the couch be comfortable, it will also look amazing.
Coffee tables are another great use of these pallets. Remember, you don’t have to use the shape they come in; you can disassemble them and create anything you want. Not only that, but you can stain the wood and end up with a piece that looks pretty expensive and unique.
For anyone who has a large sized TV and a fair amount of electronics, the question becomes how and where to place them all in the room? Obviously, you want to find a way that doesn’t make them look like such an eyesore, but the mass-made entertainment centers can be so bulky and rather predictable.
Why not use a combination of pallets and other materials to create a custom-made entertainment center? Pallets can work great as shelving as well as structural material. At least pallets can make the space feel more cohesive if you’ve already used them in other areas.
A great way to really pull the look together and make those pallets feel as though they are part of the overall design is to continue that natural and rustic vibe throughout your entire home.
For example, choose natural looking materials that feature different textures and colors that you would find in nature, such as the natural thin stone veneer sold by Kafka Granite.
