Fancy an exotic vacation? Well, I’d think twice before answering that question, especially if the “exotic location” is this hotel cavern! The deepest hotel in the world is a cavern located 500 feet underground. The former Sala Silver Mine located in Sweden is the ideal place to spend some spooky and cold days. The temperature averages about 36°F (2°C), while the rooms are a manageable 64°F (18°C). What can you do there? Well, besides playing vampires or bats, you can have dinner at the restaurant (do they serve blood?), sleep for as long as you want (no sunlight to disturb you) or you can get married! Yes, you heard me. Some people choose this place to get married. My question is, when starting the marriage in a deep hole, where does it end? Hell?
Try Harder
One of the rooms. I really thought they would have caskets instead of beds and some “Twilight” posters on the wall. But they do impress me with these hideous silver chairs!
Candlelight
Romanticism in this place? Really???
Champagne
Okay, I’d need lots of Champagne to be able to stay in this place!
Adding Color
The restaurant. Special of the day? Bat leg soup.
That’s All
At least one beautiful thing to look at.
Married
Yes, they did get married there!
Wondering how much you’d have to spend for the most unforgettable (and the most claustrophobic) days of your life in this hotel? $280/night.
I hope you could laugh a little with this post!
Now that you’ve seen it all, tell me, is the deepest hotel in the world Cool or Fool?
My wishes for your weekend? I wish you’re in a much brighter place than this one. Well, not only physically, but spiritually, of course. I hope you have a happy, healthy and safe weekend and thank you so much for being here every day. It’s truly a honor to have you here.
Also, I want to share with you that I saw my baby Matthew in 3D yesterday. We were having a normal ultrasound and the nurse said she thought he was too cute and wanted to see him in 3D. I never thought of having it done because I was scared it would be too “weird”, but I have to tell you how amazing it was! The kids and my husband were all there and we saw our baby! He’s so cute! He was having a great time and he even “smiled”! It was an indescribable moment.

* “Cool or Fool” happens every Friday. I’ve started this section where I post “different” and controversial things that I know some of you will love and others will not. The point is to tell us what you really think, regardless of anything. It’s a space where you speak your mind and analyze what you see. Have fun with it and laugh along the way!

OMG I am speechless, I mean it is realy cool but since i am super claustrophobic I would never ever go there, scary…I would be afraid of a shift in the earth or eathquake and getting stuck down there. No sunlight, no windows to open? No thanks. It gets an A for interesting though:)
Mathew? OMG what a beautiful name, darling! I´m sooo happy for you, Lu!! My dear friend, I believe in good life, in happiness, in “dreams come true” and whatever it takes to make it happen…I´m gonna do it! I love to be your friend and I hope we can meet each oder in person very soon!! kisses and many hugs for you,
Carmen
Oh Luciane…so amazing for you to see your sweet Matthew. God Bless. I hate the cave thing..I’m a girl who loves light and I’m claustrophobic too!
OMG! wow, that is really crazy and kind of creepy! So amazing to see your baby in 3D! xx
The description of your family moment with Matthew brought tears to my eyes. Sometimes I wish I could go back to those days, as fantastic as my slightly older children are now. There is just nothing in the world better than a new baby! I’m so happy for you!

Is that where the Phantom takes his dates for romantic getaways?? It’s so dark…and underground. I would be singing music of the night the whole time I was there. Fool for sure.
p.s. congrats on your baby boy! When he is due?
I’m so with every word of Tina’s comment! No thank you, not cool, not one bit!
How exciting to see your precious little Matthew in 3-D, and with the whole family there. Today’s technology marvels me; I am so happy for you, and I love that he smiled!
Have a wonderful weekend my friend!

Oh my word… I just got off the phone with the doctor’s office scheduling an MRI for my son, and I was getting claustrophobic just hearing about what he would be experiencing. Therefore, I seriously doubt I could stay underground for any length of time! So, I will call that a FOOL for sure 🙂
Have to tell you that I LOVE the name Matthew! My sister took that name first for her son, so I used it for one of my son’s middle name. So excited for you that you got to see your sweet baby. There’s nothing like it, is there?
No thank you!
So great about the ultrasound! 🙂
Lucianne I am getting claustrophobic just looking at these images! Not for me!
I am so excited for you girl!!
Oh, I have a new Designer Pillows Giveaway I hope you will join!

Although the idea “could” be cool, from the pictures it is definitely fool! What is with the tacky silver chairs?
But what a sweet account of your 3-D ultra sound. And how wonderful your kids could be with you.
What will they think of next? Thank-you for finding these amazing things. It would be a foolish thing for me to stay in this place. I’m with Tina. I’d be afraid of an earthquake. I can see it’s appeal but not for me.
I am so happy for you and your family that you saw your
baby in 3D. I didn’t know that was possible. A great week to you and your family.
Hello lovely, how exciting to see your baby in 3D, I had no idea that was possible in scans, how special!
This place is very intriguing, would make for a GREAT halloween party, not sure about a wedding there though. I’m going to say COOL, because it is!
Make sure to enter the lovely giveaway on my blog, sweetie!

Thanks for showing me, Luciane! I thought I knew a lot about Sweden, my neighbourcountry, but I’ve never heard about this. How strange! I would not stay there! But charming in its own way, maybe…How wonderful to see your baby smiling 🙂 Have a great weekend!
Love, Kristin
That place would be QUITE the experience! More importantly though was hearing your describe the 3D ultrasound…I can “hear” the joy in your voice! 🙂
That hotel looks like a sight to visit but I would never stay there! So creepy!
Your story about seeing your baby in 3d gave me chills! How sweet! Thanks so much for your well wishes and comment on my blog!!
I say fool! I don’t think I’d be able to breathe down there, way to claustrophobic. Great for Halloween, though. Maybe carnival. How about a Persephone party with Toga attire?
Best,
Liz
Seeing your baby! You’ve actually seen that Matthew is healthy, happy and comfy! And what a nice way for the siblings to meet their new brother!
As for the deep dark cave, I loved the image with the underground “lake”. Babies grow in similar beauty, but they do not have to worry about bats and cave-ins!
Hope you are getting plenty of rest!

Não suporto lugares como minas, são escuros e cheiram mau… Masa ambientação ficou bonita hein..rs

I love that you find the most unique things to post about. definitely keeps me coming back…and congratulations on your 3d image of Mathew. That is awesome.
Definitely horrible, I would not marry for anything there, hahaha.
What joy to see Matthew, I’m happy for you. Congratulations.
beautiful kisses
Oh my claustrophobic are my words It was enough going into the great piramid’s of Egypt let alone spend the night there I feel it is for dark & gothic people her wedding dress just did not sit well in that location (sorry).
