I know it has past a couple of years since we watched “Something’s Gotta Give” (2003, written, produced and directed by Nancy Meyers for both Columbia Pictures and Warner Bros. Starting Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton). But even after 7 years “Something’s Gotta Give’s house still in our mind and it doesn’t look outdated at all. This is the “beauty” of classic pieces combined with great design.
I saw so many designers trying to copy Something’s Gotta Give’s house, but I think you just can’t replicate it. That was pure perfection achieved. And who can forget the Something’s Gotta Give kitchen? Oh, that’s simply one of of the best kitchen design I’ve ever seen.
By the way the Something’s Gotta Give’s house wasn’t a real house, just a movie set… an impeccable movie set, I must say! Here some pictures, just to refresh your memory.
This is the unforgettable Hamptons beach house (AKA Something’s Gotta Give House):
Something’s Gotta Give House
Welcome to the Something’s Gotta Give House!
Something’s Gotta Give Living Room
The comfortable Living Room: Clarence House fabric on ottoman. Mimi London chair fabric. Morten Monberg clock. The Rug Loft dhurrie.
Something’s Gotta Give House
What book would you like to read in the living room?
Something’s Gotta Give Kitchen
This is what Jon Hutman says about the Kitchen: “We tried to capture the relaxed, comfortable feeling of summer at the beach.”
Something’s Gotta Give Dining Room
This Dinning room is very elegant!
Something’s Gotta Give House
Night time swimming would be even more relaxing here. The teak tray tables and chaise lounges, with a Perennials cushion fabric, are from Sutherland.
What is your favorite room? And, what about rent the movie and watch it all over again? I might do it tonight.

Good movie but the Hampton beach house looks messy , Harry’s luxury townhouse is beautiful & the house in the movie The holiday(Amanda) is beautiful too.
