How is your true style? If you could put aside all of the influences throughout all the years of your life and the many hours you have spent on Instagram and Pinterest seeing everything from interiors to fashion — How would you describe your true style? What is in your core when it comes to how you want to live. Close your eyes, think of it for a moment and answer this question.
The answer might come easily for some, but for the majority of people, it’s not an easily achievable answer. What’s in your core? And even if you find the answer, do you live in a home where your true personality is shown? That sometimes requires more than ability; it also requires courage.
For this homeowner, Tarryn Feldman, a very sought-after celebrity make-up artist for many A-list Hollywood stars, it took courage and perseverance to buy a fixer-upper in Nashville and make her dream of renovating it a reality. Was it worth it? You bet it was! Her home is a place that exudes her happy and outgoing personality and that’s why I am featuring it today, not only because I think she did a great job, but most of all, to show you that we must go inside of ourselves sometimes to finally find ourselves and where we truly belong.
“Oh man! What a project! This was my first full renovation which I’m still wrapping my head around. But when I saw that sunroom… I had to have it. I first saw the house in August 2022. I was looking for a move-in ready house in my same neighborhood which clearly didn’t happen. This house was built in the late 80’s and it wasn’t cared for properly. So I really had a big job on my hands. I had to replace everything! I mean everything, even down to most of the floor boards.” – @TarrynFeldman
Countertop: Calacatta Black Marble.
I love Tarryn’s energy and you can feel how she truly embraces life and everything and everyone around her. I hope she and her home inspires you to live more like this way, too.
Having a peninsula made this kitchen feel narrow and the overall feel was quite outdated. Replacing all cabinets and not having upper cabinets creates openness and a sense of extra space in this kitchen.
“Once I saw how black and pale pink were as a duo, my kitchen tile had to be pink with black grout. Which brings me to the kitchen… I really wanted a big open kitchen with no island or sitting area because I have sooooo many hang areas in this house. I took a wall and added my beverage stations by the fridge because it flowed and felt like the move. It’s so functional. I love love love how the black appliance, black cabinets, black marble pop with the pale pink.” – @TarrynFeldman
Refrigerator: ZLine, Black Stainless Steel.

What used to be a pantry became an arched wall niche/dry bar with tiled shelves.
“This living room was such a great size but I wanted it to flow more into the kitchen and when you walk into the front door so I took the walls down basically getting rid of a hallway. That was the trick! I replaced the floor in the entire house as well. This LVP is such a great option. It’s the most durable floor I’ve ever had! ” – @TarrynFeldman

“My dining room is so damn wild… LOL And I love it! My sweet friend Tim Brown hand sketched the mural and it took us 40 plus hours to paint it. It’s my “BeetleJuice” room. I was inspired by a random photo on Pinterest and put my twist on it and Tim put his twist on it. Such a vibe! ” – @TarrynFeldman

I love how practical this Butler’s Pantry is… and how can you not love that original oval window?!
“The sunroom is the reason I bought the damn house. Having a sunroom that walks you right out to the pool is just something I’ve never had. I knew I wanted black and white checkered floors immediately. I got to pop some pink in this room as well but in a different way which makes it feel a little more funky.” – @TarrynFeldman
Floor Tile: 24×24 White & Black Tile, Polished – similar style: here – Others: here, here, here & here (best seller!).
“The vibe I was trying to stay with was Black, White, and Neutrals. This did not happen in every room as you’ll see but I still think the color story worked and stayed on brand for my personal style.” – @TarrynFeldman

“The bathroom speaks for itself! The jet bath under a sky light and a shower that can fit 8 people in it is now my new ideal shower. LOL – My bathroom, although I have Calacatta Black Marble everywhere, it’s calming and neutral to me. Lots of black, white and beige in here. I textured two walls with drywall mud/mixed with a warm buttercream colored paint. It was the easiest DIY project I have ever done! And it looks so cool! I turned one of the closets into my beauty nook where I do my glam. The next owner will thank me for it. LOL”- @TarrynFeldman” – @TarrynFeldman
Tub Surround Tile: Calacatta Black Marble.
Floor Tile: 10″ Hexagon Concrete Look Porcelain Floor & Wall Tile.
Vanity: 84” Free Standing Double Bathroom Vanity with Reinforced Acrylic Top, Glossy Black.
“This pool area might be the hardest I’ve ever worked. I painted everything! The deck, the fence, my threshold fence, pergola, stucco bench… All of it. It was wild and hot and took me two straight weeks, BUT the transformation was worth it!”- @TarrynFeldman
What a dreamy spot and what a peaceful view! It makes me want to move to Nashville!
