Designed by Charmean Neithart Interiors, LLC., this beach cottage, which is located in Oceanside, CA was remodeled as a second home in a record time of two months, just in time for the summer. A dynamic team of contractors, sub-contractors and the CNI team tackled a new roof, new floors, new paint job, new kitchen and master bathroom, and furniture throughout. The young family of five couldn’t be more thrilled and looks forward to years of gatherings, surf, sand and sunshine.

Beach Cottage with Beautiful Coastal Interiors
This cottage beach embraces coastal decor in a very natural way!

Open concept Design
According tot the interior designer, the goal of the homeowner in this space was to open the kitchen to the dining space or not to distinguish the spaces with a division. There was actually a cabinet dividing the space that they requested to be removed. It feels open and bright and it now has a beautiful view of the ocean.
Kitchen Stools & Floors
These beautiful stools are the “French Cafe Barstool” from Restoration Hardware.
Floors are porcelain tiles.

Decorating with Plants
I always like adding exotic plants on the window above my kitchen sink.
I love these “succulent plants”. My grandma had them at home when I was growing up and they can get really long…. just beautiful!
Cottage Kitchen
You really don’t need to have a huge kitchen to have everything you need! A small kitchen can be as pretty and practical as a big one.

This tile is a great glass collection by “Stone and Pewter Accents” called Agate, color is Lucca Pearl. I am in love with it!

The designer found the table at Berbere World Imports in Los Angeles. The mirror was purchased at a trade showroom in Los Angeles called Bassman&Blaine.

As you probably know, I simply love coastal homes. In fact, I live where there is more cottages than year-round residences and it’s perfect during summer– But it’s not that perfect at this time of the year; the ocean even freezes here… cold, enough for you?? 🙂
Talking about summer, I can’t wait for some sunshine. It’s still very cold and seeing this summery home refreshes my memory of high temperatures and days where you don’t need to wear a sweater. I can’t wait for that! 🙂

Beautiful!! Where can the kitchen backsplash tiles be purchased? Love them!
Hi, I love this backsplash tile (well I love everything). I have gotten a sample from a tile company that sells it but the sample that I got had hardly any blues and mostly a green/yellow color. Could you tell me if the main color in this tile is blues? I would imagine so because the color use in all the accessories is blue! Building a beach cottage and I just love your ideas.
I know this was a while ago but it’s soooo beautiful! I especially love the ceiling and how it relates to the backsplash! I have a question about the cabinets, would you happen to know what brand and color they are painted?
