Designed by Spring Street STUDIO and with interiors by Kate Jackson Design, this shingle beach house with airy coastal interiors is all about worry-free design.
The interior designer was selected by “Sunbrella” to design this beach house using only Sunbrella products. The designer and team solved a bustling young family’s design problems of having small children and living by the sandy shores of New England.
Beach House with Airy Coastal Interiors
Gorgeous coastal kitchen with white cabinetry accented with nickel hardware topped with a white marble counter which surrounds an undermount sink with glass front cabinetry on either side of the window above. The kitchen features a stainless steel wall oven with microwave across from a charming blue kitchen island.
Barstools
A coastal flair is added with these “Lee Industrial” Barstools in navy striped sunbrella fabric.
Kitchen Lighting
The lighting pendants in this kitchen are the “Sandy Chapman Small Cornice Hanging Lantern”.
Floors are Brazilian cherry.
Dream breakfast nook bay windows, white pedestal table and white dining chairs with black piping below.
Drapery is made with a sheer Sunbrella fabric.
Dining Chairs
The upholstered dining chairs and elegant sheers create a beautiful and cleanable room for family dining.
Making Things Interesting
Decorative pillows in graphic patterns and stripes on neutral upholstery add pops of color that will not fade over time.
Color
The combination of blue and orange tones in the living room evokes a modern nautical feel.
Ottoman
The ottoman fabric is from the “Joe Ruggerio collection for Sunbrella fabric Asia II
Mariner”.
Notice the rope knobs on the built-in. Similar ones can be found at “Anthropology” (Coiled Rope Knob).
Fireplace
The fireplace built-in was custom made.
Kids Zone
The paint color here is “Benjamin Moore Decorator’s White”.
Shared Dreams
Upholstered headboards and benches combine for a soft yet playful bedroom for two growing girls.
Fabrics
An upholstered headboard and decorative pillows add color and texture to the girls’ bedroom.
Lounge Area
Located on the third floor, this lounge features a sectional with bright, fun pillows and a comfy club chair.
Coral art on the left is the “Avalon Large Coastal Beach Blue Haze Sea Fan Wall Decor – by Karen Robertson”.
This custom sectional is available at retailers who sell “Miles Talbot furniture”.
Floor lamp is the Anthropology’s Paused Rope Floor Lamp.
Fan is from Lowes.
Summer Invitation
Teak outdoor dining furniture will weather naturally over time to shades that will always coordinate with the blue Sunbrella fabric.
Under the Shade
A wicker sectional in driftwood colors hosts a variety of blue and orange pillows and carries the indoor design outside.
Sectional is the “Kingsley Bate Sag Harbor Sectional from Garden Cottage”.

This beach cottage is truly beautiful from every angle!
It’s so interesting seeing this sunny beach house… we’re currently in the middle of a huge snow storm. New York and the entire east coast is suffering with this and we’re as well. Winter can be beautiful, but nothing compares to a sunny day on the beach. Don’t you agree? 🙂
