The best way to live well in one place is by respecting its environment and getting inspired by it. Beach house living should be easy going, relaxed and open to facilitate the embracement of natural light and expanding views.
This beautiful oceanfront home has a fresh take to traditional beach house living. The interiors feel fresh and approachable. Durable hardwood flooring makes it easy to maintain while adding warmth and durability to this place. A classic blue and white coastal color palette can be found on the main floor and in the dreamy master bedroom.
If you’re looking for great beach house living ideas, this home should make your day. Take notes and get inspired!
Beach House Living Ideas
If you love privacy, this might not be for you, but if you love living on the beach and never be bored, this beach house is just the perfect spot!
Open Floor Plan
The beach house is located on a narrow lot, therefore an open concept is a must to make the rooms feel open and spacious.
Here, a well designed kitchen with peninsula and island opens to a oceanfront living room.
Kitchen
Crisp white walls and cabinets are complemented with a charcoal kitchen island.
Counterstools
Always keep in mind to bring elements to your kitchen that helps tie the space together. Here, the seagrass counterstools feel connected to the wooden floors, adding extra warmth to the space.

Countertop
Using black perimeter countertop and white countertop on island gives this kitchen a transitional feel that I love.
Flooring
Flooring is 10″ Wide Plank White Oak hardwood flooring.
Dining Room
This dining room is stunning! Upholstered chairs add comfort and beauty.
Lighting
The reclaimed wood pendant surely brings some interest and a beachy feel to this space.
Cabinet
A large, custom cabinet is located between the kitchen and living room. This is perfect to add extra storage to this relatively small main floor.
Glass Knobs
I love glass knobs and these add the right amount of color to the cabinet.
Living Room
Now, this is my kind of living room! It’s inviting and it offers ocean views!
Living Room Decor
A classic coastal palette was done in a fresh way here. I am loving the pillow fabrics and draperies.
Coffee Table Decor
The coffee table continues to carry the same natural, coastal motif.
On the Beach
Bifold patio doors brings the outdoors in – quite literally in a windy day! 🙂
Staircase
I love the simplicity and attention to detail on this staircase. Batten and board paneling adds interest and a classic feel.
Nautical Sconce
Sconce is the “Seafarer Nautical Beach Style Wrapped Rope Sconce”.
Powder Room
I always enjoy seeing bathrooms with beadboard wall paneling. Isn’t this beautiful?
Guest Bedroom
The first guest bedroom was beautifully designed. Everything was kept simple and welcoming.
Balcony
What a cozy spot! This is perfect to spend some hours to relax or talking to someone special.
Batten & Board Bedroom
The second bedroom features batten & board walls and a ensuite bathroom with gray cabinet.
Master Bedroom
Who wouldn’t love to wake-up every day with a view like that? The master bedroom not only offers expansive ocean views but also plenty of space and natural light.
Blue Hues
A natural color palette is mixed with coastal hues in the master bedroom.
Open Doors
Two pairs of French doors open to a beachfront balcony.
Bathroom
The master bathroom connects to a walk-in closet.
Balcony
Just off the master bedroom, this balcony has amazing views of this California beach.
Relaxing
Take a deep breath and let everything go…
Rooftop Deck
Since the lower patio offers very little privacy, this rooftop seems the best place to have a quiet time or entertain.
Outdoor Kitchen
Wouldn’t it be fun to prepare a BBQ here with a view like that?
California Beach
I am sure you wouldn’t get bored in this place! You have the beach, the sand and a long sidewalk to go for your morning walks.
Sandy Beach
Plenty of space to run and play! Oh, you have to keep that child alive in your heart! 🙂
Al Fresco
It would be fun to have some cocktails with friends here. I would love to add some hurricane lanterns on the table and along the walls.
Beach Lifestyle
There’s something very special about living by the sea… The ocean carries an energy (or perhaps color, sound, smell) that calms me down almost immediately.
The best anti-stress activity I can do is taking off my shoes and walk on the sand for a couple of hours. I certainly should try to do this more often!

I hope you guys had a good time and enjoyed seeing this beach house. Talking about beach house, are you missing summer yet? I am missing being able to to what I said above, take the day to go for walks on the beach. I loving doing this with my family.
I am off to prepare some food now and see if I can make today without any coffee. I mentioned before I stopped drinking caffeine but today is so cold here that I am really craving some warm coffee. I must be strong!!! 🙂
Enjoy your day, my friends and we’ll talk again tomorrow.
