I am honestly very happy to continue the Beautiful Homes of Instagram series, after a few cancellations due the Holidays. This weekly series is one of the most popular on Home Bunch and it’s a pleasure to have Jennifer from @classicstylehome on the blog. Jennifer is a busy mom of three and she is the queen of multi-tasking! You will see why here!
“I’m a full-time nurse auditor, part-time designer and stager, and mom of three boys. My second home was a craftsman/colonial hybrid with a many decorating challenges. I was inspired by New England homes white woodwork and dark wood floors when looking for design ideas. I added window trim, door trim, and wainscoting throughout the house. Neighbors and friends asked me constantly how I completed projects so a blog was born in 2013. It was easier then texting descriptions of how to paint woodwork, build your own stairs, etc. I rarely did projects the right way and focused on short cuts I shared on my blog instead since I was on a budget like most people. I caught the eye of a local realtor who asked me to start staging homes for her and my business has grown locally via word of mouth. My Instagram and blog is a reflection of my home and current inspiration on design instead of client’s homes. I love all styles of design, but my blog and Instagram is my creative outlet since my style is always evolving.
I moved into my current new build home in August 2015. It is completely different than my last because I prefer to work with the architecture and landscape of a home. However, I love to mix and match for an eclectic, unique look that will always be my own. My new home is mostly French in architecture, but I see Moroccan influences in the interior arches. I’ve tried to incorporate the old world style, but inject a bit of contemporary design with white walls and abstract paintings. I always want to be current and never feel like I’m living in a time capsule. A parallel nod to traditional and modern design is always going to be my preference. Currently, I am loving Spanish influences and have incorporated it into my design recently in ways that still fit with my decor. It’s always a balance of modern, traditional, light, ornate, etc. that I walk. It’s not the easiest way to design, but it’s my favorite!”
