Hello, my friends! I am happy to be sharing @e.l.diomede‘s work on our “Beautiful Home of Instagram” series. This home is the crisp version of modern farmhouse interior design. It’s edgy, innovative and fresh and I am sure that these new ideas will refresh our concept about farmhouse interiors.
This beautiful take on a classic farmhouse is a rare find in Naperville’s Historic District, Illinois. It’s attention to modern detail nestled in homes dating back to the late 1800’s brings a fresh, new vibe to the area. Elizabeth Diomede, interior designer on the project, mixes modern farmhouse with Scandinavian and a splash of mid-century modern style to create a unique, fun feel in a minimalist fashion. Elizabeth’s love for modern decor is evident. It’s a must see!
Exterior features James Hardie Arctic White; which is, by far, the most popular white siding used on modern farmhouses.

The main rooms of this home feel roomy and airy thanks to the white walls and the open layout.
I love how spacious this dining room feels. This large table is perfect for entertaining or having the kids doing their homework.

This stunning black powder room features a custom Mid-century inspired vanity and black shiplap walls painted in Benjamin Moore Black Jack 2133-20.
