Happy December, my wonderful friends! Oh, my goodness… December!!! This year went by really fast but overall it was a good year. I try to keep my feet grounded and enjoy what’s happening at this moment (after all, the present is all we have – the past doesn’t come back and the future hasn’t arrived yet :)) but I must say that I am really excited for 2020. I remember growing up and talking about how the world would be in 2020. It seemed so far away and we imagined everything being more futuristic, ultra-modern… I am sounding so old right now, right?! But I am sure you can relate if you grew up in the 90s. One thing is certain, I am glad that the world didn’t change that much and cars aren’t flying yet! 🙂
As we enter the last month of the year and the magic of Christmas starts to fill every corner of our home with hope, I feel extra blessed to be able to share yet another post with each and every one of you. Having this blog is truly a blessing in my life and being able to share the many beautiful homes such as this one is no different.
If you’ve read the blog for quite some time you might remember seeing @chrissymarieblog ‘s home featured on our “Beautiful Homes of Instagram” series during this past summer and I had to invite her to be featured in this special “Christmas Edition” due that post’s huge success. I was so glad to know that you guys loved her home as much as I did. Seeing your positive reaction to the house tours always makes me happy! In fact, if you want to see all the important sources such as paint colors, flooring, lighting and see many other rooms that aren’t shown in this post, make sure to see Chrissy’s first “Beautiful Homes of Instagram” feature. Chrissy shared all of the details there!
Here, Chrissy shares more about how she likes to decorate her home for Christmas:
“I am so honored to be on Luciane’s blog a second time! It is still a pinch me moment that she is so welcoming of my home and I am honored to share it with her readers!
Last year, just before the start of the Thanksgiving holiday, we had major water damage to our home that caused destruction in most of the rooms on the first two levels. We were forced to move out immediately. We were out of the house until February with what was left of our belongings in storage while we had reconstruction done! For any family this would be a difficulty, and for our family of six it was the major disruption.
So this year, I wanted to make our Christmas time here extra special and decorate to the max. As a family, we learned the hard lesson of how important it is to be grateful each day- even to have a home to decorate. But ifs never about the things, or the house, or the decor. It’s about the people who live inside my home with me, and I want to make this season extra special for them!
Luciane’s blog has been a major source of inspiration in my own home, and I am so grateful for her.
Please enjoy!”
