Built in 2006, this Texas home recently went through a big renovation and the homeowner, a designer and real estate agent, Kirsten Lile of @kirstenlileinteriors, is sharing all details on this new “Beautiful Homes of Instagram”. Start taking notes because this home is all about the features and you will see plenty of close-up photos to showcase all of them.
Keep reading to know more details and star pinning. This place has a welcoming feel that we all try to achieve in our own home!
“My husband, Adam, and I love a good home renovation. We are both real estate agents and I have had a design business for 7 years. We live in Frisco, Texas but are originally from Seattle, WA. This is our third home that we have purchased and renovated. When we saw this house I knew it had a great layout and the bones were solid it just needed to be updated. We love hosting friends and families in our home and this kitchen and main living space was perfect for just that. We did extensive renovations throughout the home. My favorite transformations are the kitchen and master bath. I love updated traditional style and with adding marble countertops, white cabinets and beautiful lighting I think we achieved just that. We want our house to feel comfortable and inviting for our guests. I grew up on an island so was constantly surrounded by water and that has influenced my design aesthetic. I am always drawn to white, navy and natural wood elements in a space.” – Kirsten Lile of @kirstenlileinteriors
“The kitchen was the space I knew exactly what I wanted to do. So many people are scared of marble but I just love the character and the classic style it evokes in a kitchen so when we found the slab we immediately went with it!” – Kirsten of @kirstenlileinteriors
I am really happy to be sharing Kirsten Lile’s home with you on our “Beautiful Homes of Instagram” series. I hope her adorable dog is happy to be here, too! 🙂

What makes your house feel like a home? For me, it is the people, of course, and the things I love. Create a home that reflects your personality, your taste and that welcomes you every time you open the door. Now, more than ever we should make of our home a place we enjoy being at.
Floating shelves are a gorgeous and trendy addition to any kitchen but they also are wonderful to collect dust. 🙂 Keep things practical by only displaying a few things, like we see above. Leave most of your cups, bowls and plates in a cabinet and display only dinnerware you use on a daily basis so they’re washed often.
