This modern retreat, known as Stix Cabin, is nestled into the forest of Nordegg, Alberta. The plot of land was purchased and developed to bring to life this compact 516 square foot vacation rental cabin and enjoy the adventure and relaxation that the David Thompson region provides.
Scenically situated, the expansive windows create a light filled space to take in the breathtaking forest vista. Owner and Designer, Whitney Robinson, carefully curated the interior for guests to be equipped with modern conveniences to enjoy nature at its finest.

Nestled into the Rocky Mountains, Stix Cabin is located near Nordegg, AB. This region is known for it’s pristine lakes, forests, mountains, and rivers making it the ideal destination for R&R or adventure. The cabin is situated on a small forested property with a private view of the forest from the interior. This small rural community of cabins has a multitude of walking paths, one just out the back of this property that leads you to some beautiful mountain views.
The vision for this space stems from Scandinavian minimalism where simplicity, comfort, and practicality are combined, yet with an influence of Canadian cabin culture.

The main room of the cabin is set up studio style with the primary bed, seating, as well as kitchen and dining.
Feature Ceiling: Knotty Alder beams and tongue and groove with custom stain.
Kitchen Cabinet Details: Custom stain on Knotty Alder, slab doors with v-groove, built by Sadona Cabinets (Red Deer, Alberta).
Island size is 48”x84”.

Upon entry there is ample space to drop your goods with a built-in steel bench and hooks above. The black wood feature wall wraps the corner enclosing the bathroom space and providing a dark contrast to the otherwise light and bright cabin.

The large screened and covered deck become an extension of the cabin’s living space allowing guests to lounge or dine comfortably in the outdoors.
