Kitchen with serve through window.
The exterior decking is an exotic wood known as Garapa, very hardy – similar to Ipe but Garapa is sustainably harvested. This wood does not require any finish and will weather to a golden grey which is quite nice. However if you wish to maintain the luster as seen here typically a penofin oil is used and must be applied at least once a year for the first few years as the wood is very dense and the natural resins contained within do not allow for easy absorbtion. The balustrades are all wood and the and rail, in natural finish, is natural wood as well.
The deck including the balustrade is 12′ wide.
House is painted in Sea Salt SW 6204 by Sherwin-Williams.
