I have always had a thing for classic Cape Cod homes, especially the ones you often see by the ocean and with shingle siding. Classic Cape Cod houses usually are small, single or two-story homes with a moderately-steep-pitched gabled roof, dormer windows and very little details. I would describe this home style simply as beautiful and timeless.
Today we’re seeing a new take on Cape Cod style. Built by Mills Eloge Builders and with architecture by Smith Slovik Residential Home Design, this Charlotte, North Carolina home is what I would call a “Modern Cape Cod Home Style”. The main architectural details found in a classic Cape Cod are beautifully reinvented and accentuated by details often inspired by today’s trends, such as black windows and white siding.
As you will see shortly, this home features modern charm and the perfect floor plan, making it an ideal place for family living or simply enjoying life as empty nesters.
Charm and curb appeal are evident in this Modern Cape Cod home. I love how welcoming yet discreet the front porch feels.
