Located in Naples, Florida, this house once was a true fixer-upper… you know one of those homes with slimy pools and everything? This was it! But the old carpets and the early 90’s look (yes, it wasn’t uncommon to find tiles on kitchen countertops!), didn’t scare a talented builder like Oakley Home Builders. In fact, this type of “environment” is perfect for a dramatic “Before & After” renovation and, as long as the home has good bones, esthetics things, although costly, can be done without too much stress.
On this house tour you will find many “Before & After” pictures that are truly jaw-dropping, and if you’re considering buying a fixer-upper, I think this might even give you some courage to finally try this new adventure, perhaps, in Florida!

The exterior of the house was refreshed with new paint, new doors and lighting. The architectural details of this beautiful waterfront home was kept while small changes made it feel more current without losing its integrity.

How about using this idea to transform an awkward closet into a Wine Cellar? The newly-renovated Wine Cellar features custom stained Shiplap paneling, metal wall-mounted wine racks and glass doors.
This space was stuck in the 90s and a fireplace is not something you expect to find in any Kitchen in Florida.
If this doesn’t make you slightly jump out of your chair (or at least say or think “wow”), I don’t know what else will. 🙂 Isn’t this kitchen renovation AMAZING?!!! The vaulted ceiling (remember the good bones mentioned earlier?) was extended to this entire space and clad in White Oak Tongue and Groove paneling. New flooring, new cabinets and everything else your eyes can see, beautifully transformed this room. Sigh!

The outdoor area of the house was quite neglected and in need of some TLC.
The builder, Oakley Home Builders, had the brilliant idea of adding a covered porch with retractable screens doors.
This waterfront home features a stunning view!

The pool needed some deep, deep cleaning and some small changes to “shine” again!
Besides renovating the pool and changing tiles, the builder also added a large deck to accommodate an outdoor dining set. Also notice the new outdoor kitchen under the white pergola.

Having an outdoor chess board/garden is a really fun idea, especially for a sunny place such as Florida.
