Located in Plaza del Norte at Peninsula Point in Newport Beach, with architecture by Eric Aust Architect and construction and interiors by Clayton Builders, this custom home is currently for sale (feel free to reach out to the builder or architect for more details). This home was thoughtfully constructed to offer a welcoming layout for daily family life while being equally functional for entertaining a crowd. Here, the builder and designer, Julie Clayton, shares some important details about this California Modern Farmhouse with two-toned exterior:
“This project was inspired by its location near the end of the Balboa Peninsula. The newly-constructed home is situated on a parkway between the ocean and the bay in the prestigious neighborhood known as The Peninsula Point. The design of the house was established early on to incorporate the hallmarks of “Old Newport” such as the double-hung windows, board & batten siding and wood shingle roofing. We then added a layer of updated finishes to create a bridge to the amenities expected in a Modern Beach House such as the La Cantina sliding door system, the professional-grade appliances, and the wide-plank white oak flooring. The combination resulted in a custom home which has all the best of both worlds!” – Julie Clayton for Clayton Builders.
