Hello everyone! Did you have a good weekend? We just came back from a Christmas parade and I couldn’t help but be completely excited for Christmas and prepare a post only about Christmas Decorating Ideas!
Winters are very cold and snowy where we live and I won’t lie, I love seeing the snow falling, but I’m not crazy about the cold. The best part of this time for the year for me is taking all of our Christmas decorations out of the boxes and start transforming our home into a happy and cheerful place. I simply can’t wait to have my house decorated, sit by the fireplace with a cup of cocoa and watch the snow fall. Those are moments that you feel life is pretty good sometimes.
I hope you can start getting ready and apply some of these Christmas Decorating Ideas into you own home.
Let’s make this Christmas feel very special, very happy and very colorful!

Did you do anything interesting this weekend? We had a GREAT weekend! Matthew’s 1st birthday was a blessing. I kept looking at him and not believing how fast he’s growing. The kids made so many cards for him and they sang “Happy Birthday” at least 50 times! 🙂 We really felt happy and grateful.
At bedtime, I had my little son in my arms and I couldn’t stop looking at him. I looked his face, his little eyes, his tiny hands and all I wanted was to register that moment in my head. I didn’t want to forget any detail and I wanted to enjoy the feeling of having my baby falling asleep in my arms because I know how fast this goes by.
Yes, good moments don’t last forever, actually, nothing does. So, make sure to recognize when you’re having a special moment and give to it its deserving attention. Make sure to stop and see what’s happening. Make sure to seize the moment and make sure to be thankful for it.
Happiness is created when we stop everything we’re doing to focus on the positive actions that are currently occurring in our lives.

I am definitely getting in the spirit with your images. Enjoy your little guy…mine just went back to college on the East Coast a few hours ago. Yesterday, I had a five hour car ride and I was pinning your images like crazy…it was fun to have the time to do that! Thank you!
I love these pictures, are beautiful. I like the red, green and white Christmas, with gold and glitter of course. I’m very classic in Christmas decorations, I have my old paper mache balls, cloth dolls, balls red, gold and large plaid ties, fabric hearts, etc…
My weekend has been great, but a little sad because Fernando Alonso won the F1 championship, I adore him 🙂
Have a great week, xoxo
Hi there sweetpea! You are smart to cherish and enjoy every moment, how I wish I had a little one to tuck in at night, though I still attempt to with my 16 year old..lol. He is afterall my “baby” even if he towers over me!
LOVE this post. So many fabulous ideas….definitely bookmarking this one!! Enjoy your day.
You are so right…. time goes by so fast and its those moments we must notice and be thankful for. So many wonderful ideas here…….

Such pretty inspiration. I haven’t even started to decorate yet, but I guess I better get moving! Hopefully this week I’ll get everything set up. xo
Luciane,
What a fun post and so unique. I felt like I’d visited some charming homes in Sweden! Thanks for this.
Karen
Oh these are so different that the standard decorations, I LOVED them….you have such a knack for finding special inspiration!
Happy birthday to little Matthew and big hugs to you! I can’t believe a year has slipped by so fast!
You may have noticed I’m not out and about as much each week in blog land anymore, and one of the reasons is for exactly what you just wrote. Too many moments were passing me by, and my daughter is graduating this year. And I feel like she was just Matthew’s age! The time has gone by way too fast…
You have shared incredible Christmas ideas here – I have to get pinning!
Thinking if you, and sending more hugs!
XO Sheila
