During this summer, we’ve being seeing many beach houses and it’s always fun to find beautiful coastal homes that are currently for sale. Why? Because it makes our dream of having a beach house a little more realistic and many of us can imagine ourselves selling our home to live by the water. Take this Lake Michigan coastal home for example, built by Mike Schaap Builders and with interiors by Benchmark Design Studio, this storybook home resonates with timeless elegance and refreshing coastal distinction.

This home features great color scheme, inside and out! Siding paint color is Benjamin Moore 1599 Marina Gray. Exterior white trim paint color is Benjamin Moore 968 Dune White.

The entry door is by Simpson Door with Full Glass Side Lights.
Door hardware is Emtek; Exterior Tubular Entry Set. Finish: Brushed Nickel.

Foyer
The foyer paint color is Benjamin Moore, HC-172 Revere Pewter. In fact, most rooms in the main floor are painted in Benjamin Moore, HC-172 Revere Pewter.
Trim paint color throughout the house is “Benjamin Moore OC-17 White Dove”.
The foyer bench inset features Ghost Wood in a herringbone pattern.
Floors: Grigio, RT Baldwin, European White Oak, Grigio, UV Matte Finish. Size: 7-1/2″.

Blue Vistas
Refined rustic beams and columns display the natural patina of reclaimed barn wood and infuse individuality amongst the dining room, kitchen, hearth room, and living room.

The spacious kitchen features custom cabinetry & built-ins through-out. I love this practical layout.
The neutral walls are painted in Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter. Cabinets are Benjamin Moore OC-17 White Dove.
Kitchen features 3 Serena & Lily Counter Stools and 3 Serena & Lily Bistro Barstools.
Bistro Table
A raised bistro table keeps the island clutter free and delivers more work space to the island.
The bistro table was custom-made from rift sawn white oak.
Lighting is Astoria Chandelier 3505 by Napa Home & Garden.
Kitchen Hood
Warm hues of driftwood and creamy blues lend elegance to beachy details like the naturally aged white oak floors and the Ghost Wood kitchen hood, set in a herringbone pattern.
Counters & Tiles
Pale blue subway tile forms a serene backdrop to rift-cut oak cabinetry and fantasy blue granite countertops.
Tiles are Walker Zanger 6th Ave in Pale Sky; Gloss 3 x 6.

This spacious pantry comes with built-in shelves and a reclaimed wood barn door.

I love these two colors together: Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter on walls and Benjamin Moore White Dove on cabinets.

The den opens to a balcony with incredible views! Hand railing and newels are composite wood painted in Benjamin Moore Dune White. Balusters are stainless cable rail.

Great article provided some real helpful ideas. However I could have missed it but can you provide the exterior paint color…? Also the were the exterior of the window frames painted because they appear to be a darker grey (paint color if so..) and the interior appear white.

Hi. This is truly a beautiful house. I know it’s been a while since it was posted, but I’m hoping someone can answer my question. We are in the middle of a home remodel and we are using fantasy blue countertops. I’ve been searching the web to find paint colors that match it well, and came acrossed this post. I don’t see a color name for the bathroom cabinets that have the wainscoting and the fantasy blue countertop. Could you please share the paint color for that cabinet? Thank you soo much in advance.
