Recently built by Stritt Design and Construction, this Australian coastal farmhouse features some truly inspiring design ideas, which includes black exterior siding with white trim and an open layout that is perfect for family life.

Black Exterior Paint Color: Dulux Domino.
Trim Paint Color: Dulux Lexicon – Quarter Strength.
Front Door: Custom built with glass sidelights and high light above. Painted in Dulux Lexicon.

Kitchen features four skylights and hand-painted backsplash tile. The tile is patterned ‘Duquesa’ blue and grey feature tile by Walker Zanger used with a white matte square tile.

The kitchen island countertop is custom made Timber butcher block.
Faucet: Perrin and Rowe.
Kitchen: Basin – 1901 Fireclay Single Butler 750 sink – similar here.
Lighting: Antique grey enamel pendants that have been re-wired – similar here, here & here.

Hardwood Flooring: Recycled hardwood timber flooring in Ironbark timber.
The kitchen perimeter countertop is Caesarstone ‘Fresh Concrete’.

The Living/Dining Room feature a cathedral ceiling with 3.5m walls that go up to a height of 5.5m in the center. The ceiling is lined with individual V-Joint lining boards. The large exposed hardwood timber beams were reclaimed timbers from an old bridge. These form the structural component of the ceiling.
The living room opens to a back porch with outdoor kitchen.
Outdoor BBQ Kitchen: Scyon Axon 133mm smooth non combustible vertical sheets. Countertop is Caesarstone ‘Fresh Concrete’.
Stone Fireplace Details: Large reclaimed sandstone blocks were used on the fireplace. These were salvaged from the previous home that was demolished. A large recycled timber piece was used for the mantel.
Walls: Dulux Lexicon.
I am loving the color of these cabinets and this long countertop. It’s perfect to fold laundry! Cabinet paint color is Porters Paints Napoleon.
