With a request to stay within the footprint of this existing Connecticut beach home, House of Huck transformed this former multi-family three-story 1990’s home into a forever home for her wonderful clients. The designer and her team closed up a stairwell, shifted the kitchen and truly transformed the home. The kitchen was designed to ensure their ultimate goal of entertaining year-round could be achieved with a direct sight line to both the Long Island Sound in one direction and the hand-selected masonry for their wood burning fireplace in the other. An indoor/outdoor bar space sits to the left of the kitchen which enables whoever is in the home preparing food and drinks for guests to still feel part of the event.
Each bathroom has custom cabinetry, including the powder room where beautiful pieces of reclaimed wood for the vanity were hand selected to allow for a cement trough sink to sit on top. The beach views from the rear of the home make this coastal getaway a favorite for all.
I hope you enjoy this beautiful Connecticut Beach House Tour, everyone!
“The kitchen in our “Woodmont Makeover” was brought down to the studs, shifted, and a stairwell was closed up.”- Meredith Huck

“The ocean view from the primary bathroom (tub with view) really made me stop for a moment and truly feel the need to “rejuvenate” my good vibes, which I prefer calling “energy”. With everything happening lately, we must remember to take care of our body, mind and soul. Take a calming bath or a long shower, go for a pleasant walk, listen to your favorite music or simply remember to:
– Inhale PEACE (close your eyes, take a long breath allowing peace to reach your heart) – Exhale stress (Everything that is not working in your life is now getting out).
We’ll talk soon, my friends.” – Luciane
