You’ve been reading Home Bunch for a while and you probably already know I don’t post contemporary homes very often, unless they’re breathtaking. Why? Well, I simply try to find ones that don’t feel cold, ones that actually have very distinct designs and outstanding architecture. You can put this house in those categories. The more I see this place and study its architecture, the more I can say this house is worthy of a good look.
The house features spectacular views of Lake Hollywood and has five bedrooms. It was designed by Jeffrey & Rochelle Mills of Mills Studio. The residence is made up of two unique glass and steel boxes perched in and cantilevered from a series of exposed poured concrete walls. A two-story entry features a stunning use of steel with a glass floor bridge that cantilevers out over the swimming/reflecting pool below and out to the lake itself. Definitely a very impressive home with an equally impressive price tag: $10,800,000.
Curb Appeal
The front of the house is beautiful, but this home is all about its views.
It’s Hollywood!
Views like this one!
Skies
The lake during the day.
Outdoor Living Room
This is just amazing! I love these modern and ultra-comfortable outdoor furniture.
Living Room
I really enjoy the materials used in this space. The furnishings are all very light and low, perfect to not obscure the views.
Other View
This is the other side of the living room. Everything is very light and feels very natural.
Dining Room
All they were thinking when they chose this chandelier: “Go big or go home,” or in this case, “bring the Big home”! 🙂
Kitchen
This one is very “love it or hate it.” I know some people will love the colors and the open feeling, while others will hate the light fixtures. How do you feel about this kitchen?
Stairs
Take a look at the architecture details.
Landing Area
Very minimalist but the wood makes it feel warm.
Fragile
Stunning!
Chair
Did you notice that chair? It feels more like a sculpture. I love the view of the pool from here.
Master Bedroom
I really like the built-ins on the left and the round rug.
Guest Bedroom
Wonderful views.
Courtyard
A quiet place to think.
Wish List
A spa and outdoor shower with that view! And all of this is just outside of the master bedroom. Life is good!
Night Light
“L” shaped pool.
Swim to the Views
Beautiful.

This would be the perfect home for Austin Powers and his Mo-Jo! Lovely views though!
WOW! Very LA and very impressive! I can see a great party going on here with all kinds of big name celebrities! Great choice for a contemporary home, Luciane. 🙂
This has to be one of my all time favorite contempory homes….really special for sure!
Good morning Luciane,
Although I love more the classic styled houses, I have to admit that this house is a real masterpiece!! I love the dining room with that huge chandelier, the master bedroom and the pool!! Gorgeous!
Have a wonderful new week my friend!
xx

Definitely a lot of very interesting dramatic details in the architecture here, the chandy in the dining room looks ridiculous however and I would never eat in peace for fear that thing would come falling down but many of the spaces are quite beautiful and the outdoor spaces are amazing as well, the views are also unreal! Always fun to see something different than what I would personally do, but something that is very well done nonetheless.
Hi, Lucianne,
This house’s architecture and view are fabulous. I love the staircase and all the glass. The chandelier in the dining room is crazy big…not a fan, but I like the 70s vibe of the kitchen fixture. I think the kitchen is great; it is clean and lean and open with no upper cabinets to block that special view. All in all, it is a good choice.
Best…Victoria
i do like the bedspread.
thanks for stopping by–Rachel Ashwell is a class act and a beachy girl but not one who would be comfy in these digs!

Thanks Lucianne for the post. I don’t think I could eat under that chandelier(wonder how much wattage it emits?), but I do like the kitchen and its’ lighting very much. Definitely not a house for children with the open staircase, but the views are breathtaking. Have a great week.
Brenda
Good morning Ms. Luciance,
The views, the views! Talk about art! The house is indeed an architectural master piece.
I am not either into contemporary homes but I love incorporating contemporary pieces into my more classic home. I love the mix of old and new!
Warm hugs to you,
Mon
P.S Not many weeks left now! (: Do you know the sex yet? I need to send you a mouse box! (:
oi Luciane
bjooooo
I’m in love with the outdoor living room. The home is a little cool and uncomfortable for me but it has stunning views and that beautiful outdoor shower and spa. Have a wonderful blessed week.
OH MY GOD! That chandelier! There’s not much I wouldn’t do for that 🙂
Stacy
It really is breathtaking! No wonder you published it.

Kristin
The kid in me has to ask, is there a door on that little cantilevered patio over the pool so I can jump in from there?
I believe this house was bought by Ashton Kutcher
Yes, it was! You’re right, Mike! 🙂
