This house with brightly colorful interiors is currently on the market and it will certainly surprise you. The house has 5 bedrooms, 7 full and 4 half bathrooms, and 12,948 square feet. It sits on a .85 acre parce of land and was completely renovated in 2002 (really!). But besides being intensively colorful, the interiors are very spacious and have some interesting architectural details.
The house also includes a separate bar room, outdoor terraces, two storey foyer, curved staircase, and coffered ceilings and millwork.
If you aren’t a big fan of colorful interiors, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the garden. The patio and pool area are my favorite parts of this house. But take a good look and tell me: Are these colorful interiors Cool or Fool?
If you love it, this place can be yours for $2,450,000. Anyone want to move to Dallas?
Foyer
I like the chandelier and the table, but the rest…
Staircase
This settee could look much better with a calmer fabric. It should contrast with its frame, not blend.
Kitchen
The green gives a great energy with the white.
Eating Area
Beautiful chandelier.
Mezzanine
The many levels of the house.
Family
You can find all the colors of the rainbow in this room.
Wallpaper
Whoa! 🙂
Bedroom
Why did they bring the dining room chair to the bedroom?
Bathroom
Yes, it has a pink wallpaper and a giant fan.
Closet
This is a great closet! Look at the space!
Patio
Needed a break for your eyes? Here it is… a beautiful patio for you.
Pool
Someone will but this house for this backyard.

In my opinion, there are many great pieces in this place , but there’s no harmony. The great things you find are always “fighting” against the outdated ones. Balance is everything in design.
What do you think of this colorful home, Cool or Fool?

It’s starting to feel just like Fall right now… it’s raining and the leaves are starting to change. I’m embracing the changes around me… Are you?
Wishing you a weekend of great transformations.
* “Cool or Fool” happens every Friday. I’ve started this series where I post unique and controversial concepts that I know some of you will love and others will not. The point is to tell us what you really think, regardless of anything. It’s a space where you speak your mind and analyze what you see. Have fun with it and laugh along the way!

I prefer this home to the homes featured most days. There seems to be such an adversion to color in today’s trends. White, grey and beige! One house looks identical to another. I can’t tell them apart! While this may show intense color, hooray, it’s much more uplifting. Even hospitals use more color than in the homes so popular now!
This home is cool to me because it has a chandelier in almost every single room. And if you’ve been to my site you know I have a chandelier in my laundry room. But the fabrics covering some of the furniture is way to busy for me.
I actually love all the colors! Not sure about the green carpet though……
No… I don’t like nothing…there’s no harmony
Too much colors and flowers.
xoxo
have a good weekend
The home itself is gorgeous but I could do without all the color, especially the lime green walls..ugh! And the pink bathroom…..good thing is its easy to change and the bones of the home are beautiful!
Have a great weekend Luciane.
I agree that the home layout is nice, but all the colour has to go. I would not feel calm in this house unless I was on the patio or backyard. Can’t believe it was redone in 2002. I don’t remember all that colour being in then.
I love the use of colors but they fight with the furnishings and decorative items. There does not seem to be any main color scheme that flows throughout the house bringing everything together.
No, I don’t really love the way colour has been used here. There are some good ideas, but when all are introduced, it’s just way too many things going on under the same roof. This is an example of trying too hard to create flow, and completely missing the mark. I do like the sitting area outside minus that particular chandelier. I won’t say, fool, but it’s not cool either…
I hope your weekend is off to a great start, and you are enjoying some calm 🙂

I agree with you Luciane – there is no harmony. You know I am not one to shy away from color, but this looks cheap in such a grand home. You are completely right – this house will sell for the backyard. Stunning.
Hmm… i think that first chandelier is atrocious;hate the crystal spires and the overall shape of it (i prefer longer, not wider chandeliers). And it looks like you could bump your head on it walking upstairs (though that may just be the dimension of the picture). But then again, I’ve never been a fan of crystal chandeliers.
This house looks like a different designer did each room with no idea what the other designers would do to their rooms. There is no cohesion, or unifying factor to tie this home together. I do like the architecture of the home though; the way the different levels are displayed is magnificent. Someone who doesn’t mind cosmetic renovations will definitely buy this house. But for now, it’s FOOL.
