Missing sunshine as much as I am? So, here we go, dream again about summer, sun and beach. And where else could it be more perfect than a cottage on Tankerton Beach in Whitstable, UK? This rentable (we can stay there!!!) cottage is a hot spot for top models, journalists, photographers, pop starts and writers… and I can see why. The simplicity of the cottage can make anyone feel in touch with what really matters, living surrounded by tranquility and peacefulness.
The dreamy cottage is a detached clapperboard house built in 1906. Opening onto Tankerton Beach, the property is spectacularly situated in a quiet corner of the attractive and fashionable fishing port of Whitstable on the North Kent coast.
Shall we take a look?
The Beach
Hold my hands while we walk on the beach…
Like the Sea
The front porch is covered, so it’s easy to have a comfy couch there. You can always throw a fabric on top of that old sofa for a new shabby-chic look.
Vews
Only a few steps from the beach.
Foyer
The charm speaks its time.
Living Room
The living room has ocean views and an old-time feel. I adore the fireplace.
Wood
I see why this place is sought after by writers and such. There’s something very poetic here.
Distant
… and who wouldn’t feel inspired here?
Let’s Eat!
The sweetness of being in a cottage. I adore the vintage light fixture.
Freshness
The kitchen is small but very practical.
Cooking
The yellow make this kitchen feel really warm and inviting.
Bedroom
A touch of color without being overwhelming.
Bathroom
Very simple, very real and very cottage-y.
Sunrise
Isn’t it a “happy” room?
Words
A place to put your heart and soul.
Dream
Remember when you were a kid and would dream by the window?
Under the Sun
I miss eating outside.
Flowers
A cottage isn’t a cottage without a flowery garden.
Water
Let all the stress disappear…
Beach
Bring a glass of lemonade and a novel.
Friends
A nice place to have your friends over and talk about life while enjoying the views and hearing the waves.
Hammock
Is there anything more appealing than a hammock under the trees overlooking the beach?
I like seeing cottages that feel like a cottage, just like this one. The spaces are charming and comfortable, but not luxurious. The reason you should go to a cottage is to feel the simplicity of things. Leave luxury behind and get more in touch with “real” things.
Living in a cottage is a dream for so many of us. We dream with the lifestyle it offers and how everything seems to be cozier, prettier and happier. I feel that we all should have at least one room in our houses that has those qualities, a room that bring that warmth, that sweet feeling to us.

Absolutely adorable! And the view is incredible. Looks like the perfect place to pen a novel or curl up and read one ๐
WOW! This one has some much to love, but I think one of my favorite spots is the desk in front of the window – that view… hhhhhh. What’s not to love, and how can one not be inspired with a view like that. I think I’m discovering I’ve got a bit of cottage girl in me ๐
Have a great day, Luciane!

I can feel and smell the ocean breeze now! Really lovely!
Wow I almost thought this was the shoreline in Connecticut until I looked at the headline. Beautiful home and even better it reminds me of things to come here in Connecticut in the coming weeks.
That view is incredible! Everything about that cottage is splendid.
It’s snowing outside right now so yes I’m with you on the beach! Anything that overlooks the ocean gets my vote.
Enjoy your Evening!
